Game 5753 - Whirlwind - Full communication

I know many of you vets say full communications ok better I disagree. Limited where only forum communications is better. Full communications allows people to team up and work as a team vs individuals in a game. Kinda ruins the fun of an individual game. Always having to worry about certain players who always team up vs single players. If you wanna play a team game then set one up but if an individual game the full out allies and working together ruins the fun. I understand working together to help out with intelligence, trades, favors, truces, etc..  but full out attacks and invasion as a team is impossible to fight off. New game set ups with limited forum only communications takes this team play out of the arena. Or at least it makes it obvious to others so they can act accordingly. But full communications with no limits on allies and people playing as a team makes it no fun in individual games. I love this game but I do not like this team style of play in individual games. To me its borderline unethical play. Others may disagree. Just saying seems we are trying to recruit lots of new players but if this is how the games work then it scares people away from the game. In the old days in individual games there were rules like 3 turns trading max, no more than 3 turns on a truce etc. but full on team style play in individual games sucks. Im ok with surprise attacks that's part of the game but vs 2 teams is down right wrong.

Cosmo, in full deplomacy I personally attempt to gather at lest one ally on a boarder before they make another alliance. I also try to keep it out of forums so my plans are not known to others. Almost every player I’ve been in contact with are receptive to deals at the very start. In your future full deplomacy games consider making a target T0 and reach out to others who can at the lest not back door you while fighting another kingdom. Sometimes that works other times that too can fall apart.

Limited deplomacy is still fun but with everything in forum, kinda puts target on the back of those who team up. So got to be more deliberate in actions.

Anon (my favorite) is no communication what so ever. All about you against the map, some days you get the bear, other days the bear gets you.

And about newer or returning players and interaction of combat in games. I have many of times not attempted to engage newer players over the years, just to have it be a suspected alt account, and get blasted when I was on the other side of my region. I’m at a “fool me once shame on u, fool me twice that’s on me” attitude. I won’t go after a new or newer player unless he just placed in a prior game or blindsided me. Just fyi.

Sorry, but I don't know how to do PMs

Please email me at guy.freitag86@yahoo because I think that this is a full communication game.

I wish I was in this one, I'd help you out. I'm always getting 2 or more attacking me without provocation.  Your probably the better player and they want so very much to win.

I was going to attack you, but I appear to be under attack by the GI and the UN.

This means that I will pull my forces out of your regions without taking anything.

I hope that you find this arrangement satisfying enough.

That does work for me. I just finished with the Tyrant and was not looking forward to fighting another opponent immediately.

I agree.  The hafling (as the darkelf in that game) and lizard just beat the crap out of me with in another game, so i asked him if he wanted some help in this one.  I personally don’t play team games because I suck at communicating but seeing how well they coordinated agaisnt me in that game made me think I should try it and get better at it.  I like the limited communication better myself, but these last two games have been a learning experience.
The only thing i disagree with is that “certain players who always team up” bit.  Not me.

Want to rumble? Don't know what to do with your main group, 5GI?

I propose that you stay at IT, where you are most likely to take my city, and fight my 1IL.

Deal is, you don't add anymore troops to your group, and I will come as I currently am.

Might as well, since this will be the last turn of the game if and when it happens.

Please RVSP me if you accept my chivalrous offer.
