For those interested Gmetty took the lead and started the following Fantasy Football League for the Alamaze community. His post and the League link are below:
I set up the following league on Yahoo. First come, First served for 12 teams.
All settings can be adjusted based on majority decision. I tried to pick the most popular settings.
I am not setting an entry fee as I am not interested in collecting money but if another participant wanted to take on that endeavor I would not object to a prize fee of $25 or so.

Head to Head
12 teams – 2 divisions, Top 6 teams make the playoffs with division winners placed as the top playoff seeds
** Scoring **
Passing TD = 4 pts
25 passing yards = 1 point
Interception = -1 pont
Rushing, receiving, return TD = 6 points
10 Rushing, receiving yards = 1 point
Reception = 1 point
Fumble = -2
2 point conversion = 2 point
FG = 3 point, 40+ yards = 4 point, 50+ yards = 5 point
Defense standard scoring with bonus for points allowed
Block kick = 2 points
Roster = QB, RB, WR, 2X Flex, TE, K, D
Flex = RB/WR
On-line Draft = Saturday Aug 29 @ 8 am central
Trade deadline set to the latest possible
Trade approval based on commissioner approval. I tend to approve everything unless there is very obvious collusion. ( a first round pick for a player out for the year would be denied)

( a first round pick for a player out for the year would be denied) I'm not keen on a morning draft and really is it just 1 WR or 1 RB required? I'm sort of used to 3WR and 2RB and a flex.

I am sure the settings (including draft time) can be adjusted once we get everyone signed up. If interested, please sign up and then the settings and draft time can be discussed.

Good point. Let's see if we can get at least 10 and (unlike Alamaze), I don't need more than one vote on how it goes. I'll be in.

That is good. I figure the more people from Texas in the league the easier it is for the rest of us.

Not sure how to take that. Sort of like the Bears new offensive coordinator said Jay Cutler was more intelligent than he expected.

It would be nice to get a few more to sign up for an Alamaze fantasy football. Ry Vor indicated he was joining (though he hasn't done so, yet) and that will bring our total to five. Need a few more to have an active league.

It looks like we're going to be short of players here.

I signed up now, but don't know about complying with a morning draft. Maybe others are hesitating on that score as well.
