I just found out an hour ago that my teammate Airborne Ranger was dropping. As everyone in this game knows, one missed turn in this one could spell out the game, as it is very competitive. I often find myself waking up in the middle of the night with an idea. I really enjoy this particular game and I am not ready for it to end.
I have sent countless messages to support and other parties to attempt to get a turn submitted for Airborne Ranger's position. If a turn does not process for him, we will likely drop as well. That is unless support allows for a re-run of the turn with a turn submitted for Airborne Ranger's position. As the turn is required to be submitted in 40 minutes, there is a reasonable chance that this will not be done in time as I have not received any responses in the last hour.
I am asking for the opinions of the other 9 players in this game, if for some reason a turn does not get submitted for his position, is anyone opposed to allowing a re-run of the turns if we are able to find a standby for the position by end of day? I am posting this before the turns run, to ensure that everyone else understands that I am not trying to gain an unfair advantage by requesting a re-run.
I have also sent a version of the turn we would like to submit for this turn to Support, in essence, it is submitted, just not through the order checker, as I don't have access to it.
Please post your opinion below!
Best Regards,
Stromguard

Looks like I was not able to secure a turn for Airborne Ranger, and it does not appear that support was able to respond to my requests to submit a turn for the position while we secured a standby. A turn was sent via e-mail for the position prior to the cut-off time, but I don't know if they submitted it. Please voice your opinions here.

I would not have a problem with the orders you created being used in a reran turn. I would be opposed to someone creating orders after these results have come out
We had the same issue in 182 but quickly shot off an email to support and got the kingdom switched to one of us before the turn was due

I apologize for any inconvenience this ordeal has caused, it had been a challenging and fun game up to this point. Kronin and Stromguard are withdrawing from this contest and will let y'all finish out in 2-3 turns. Hopefully, we can get a new game going soon.
P.S. - Kronin and I are down for a rematch for any who are willing, but only if you accept defined parameters of "Team Communication Only", "Married" teams with no cross-team ally declarations.
P.P.S. - If not we will go do classic diplomacy games only, as the anonymous rules are too ambiguous and seem to create much drama, speculation, etc. as per the various forum posts I have seen and been a part of.

Please consider that matters like these, to process a dropped player or substituting another as a replacement, doesn't happen instantly.
There's the usual policy of waiting 24 hours before a drop becomes official (to give the player time to cool down and change their mind). If the drop becomes official then the kingdom has to be reviewed by Ry Vor to see if it is worthwhile to give to another person.
If so then account numbers of the appropriate subscription level (that are not in the particular game) have to be tracked down and determined for the standby position.
Then a notice has to be either posted on the forum (if multiple candidates exist) or emailed to a player to see if they are interested in taking over as a standby position. If accepted then prior turns have to be tracked down and emailed to the new player to review.
Then finally, allow time for the new player to decide what orders should be submitted for the upcoming turn.
All of that takes time. To make matters worse, this particular player dropped multiple positions all at once and less than a day before the next turn is due which only made it that much more difficult to process in a timely manner.
So with all of that being said, try to play on without the possibility of a re-run. As I mentioned in another thread, re-running a turn is a manual process and one that I am not in favor of doing due to the risk to the server's files. Skipping a turn is not a big deal but re-running a turn is problematic so try to continue playing without the re-run...

Thank you for the information. Kronin and I have discussed, please drop both Kronin and Stromguard from #175. We are not "rage quitting" here, just impractical to continue, as the missed turn resulted in a "surprise attack" for 95% of Army Group as well as an interrupted siege due to no order at a critical turning point in this game. 3v6 is tough enough, but 2v6 is even harder.

I would just say, I think if you are in a Magic (team) game or a Warlords game, you have an obligation to continue. I know that sounds weird, as it is just a game, but consider the other players in the game they have committed months to. I suppose that comment exposes me to more criticism.

That would be a very reasonable position to the extent it is communicated clearly in advance. Otherwise the standard conventions would apply.
No one can expect players to be mind readers, and it wouldn't be fair to try to hold someone to something they didn't know about when they signed up.
