Pagan is a coded variant where there are no High Priestesses and no Ancient Ones divinations.
Based on the lay of the land, I think you guys should do a team version of this, and I will just plan to bow out (with no worries at all). I just can't spare the time, and I definitely wouldn't be able to captain.

Seems like public team would be harder than normal team. Normally we trade turns and then use the Parser to update a common map.
With public game there would not be a way to swap turns correct?
I would think a big 5 vs 5 game would require a lot of communication to avoid tripping over the same targets.
Yeah, I think team and public would be mutually exclusive. Hard enough to coordinate activities with private communication, much less in cryptic form on a public forum. If team game, we expect kingdoms to team up, so I don't see the need for public.

I am willing to captain one team and am open to any teammates Preferably splitting the experience levels between the two teams. I would hope there is someone else out there willing to captain the other team with experience playing warlords and Titans. I think should be a high paced game and a lot of fun for both experienced players and newer players.

I'm in, of course, having started the thread.
Pagan sounds awesome as I've not played that variant.

We need to confirm the parameters. Pre-drawn teams versus drafting of teams, order of selection of either the slate or of a drafting order, best way to divide the experience evenly (per JF comment), victory conditions (7 regions?), total length of game if no clear winner (unlikely, but in case), pagan or not, any other thing that needs deciding.
In any event, I will play and will captain if I have to, but would rather have another person as captain given my current busy time at work.

I assume 7 regions or 24 turns? I mean can the game really go longer than 24 all things considered?
Draft should go
a, b, b, a, a, b, b, a, a, b for regions unless someone has a better suggestion. I think dividing the teams based on experience makes sense but we could do draft on the players as well.

I am guessing HH will help with draft.
- For splitting up players this may seem complicated but how about we let HH divide them up, he should have a very good gage on over all experience of the players. This would allow any player with a strong feeling they want to play on one side allow him to know and we are none the wiser. Then he could balance out the rest. Though personally I think getting to pick either of our brains should be jumped at.
- HH would email us and our teammate so we know our team. Talk to team and get ready for draft
- draft back and forth picking a region. We could even do this on the forum between the two captains
- assign kingdom after talking to teammates and let HH know.
- HH sends players / kingdoms / teams to Rick with rules
-Win by 7 regions or highest total of all a teams kingdoms status after 40 turns
- pagan
- every player needs to plan to not quit unless as a team it is decided to concede. If a player plans to quit make sure to let the captain and HH know so a replacement can be found or transferred.
I think that is it? Sound right

For the first experiment, East vs West would probably make sense.
East: 2,3,6,9,10
West: 1,4,5,7,8
3 northern regions, 2 southern for each.
East has the advantage of magic with 2 possible wizard kingdoms vs 1 for west.
West has the advantage in diplomacy with possibility of picking AN and DE.
East has all the dragons, but West has Trolls and Giants.
Most of the racial enemies seem to be divided east/west but I don't know all of them.
To preclude having to choose between WA and GI, for example, I think the team should be able to double up in a region if they want to. E.g East can choose EL/WA/GI/AN/DE and it's up to them to figure out how to grab region 7.
