Classic Map
#1
Anyone have a classic Map that came from Pegasus? I'd like a pristine copy if so and will pay for it.
Thanks.

Thanks.

I have a copy of one, free of charge, at the Help Guides link: http://fallofromegame.com/alamazeorders/login.php

Take it to Kinko's or another printer and try to find the same paper as the original. I have the Classic map available in case it's ever used for a 3rd Cycle game which is technically possible but hasn't been tested yet...

Thanks Unclemike for that.
I would like an old physical copy of the map as well. I believe they were printed.
If you know of any I will pay handsomely for 1 from Pegasus days.

If I had one left, it would be yours. I am fairly certain that none of mine survived all of the many moves over th decades.

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Me either, one has to have survived though. We'll see.

Over 1500 were produced.  We had 1000 active positions after the Dragon Magazine article.  The printer at the print shop I had was always a slacker, as I recall: maps took him weeks to do at probably 200 a setting due to the paper size, and color requirements back in 1987 (yes, we had printing presses).  I myself don't even have any of those nearly 30 year old maps now.  Nice to think they are worth money, though.

I really thought my unopened box of Shogun, from the same year Alamaze won PBM Game of the Year would be worth more than it seems to be.

BTW, I do still have an Alpha Black Lotus, probably an 8.5, if not a 9.0.  Price seems to have gone from $2000 several years ago to about $8000.  Only 1250 made, and the original instructions were to tear it up when you use it.  So, who knows how many are around 20+ years later.

I do have 3 copies of the original big classic map.  Unfortunately all 3 have a few towns and villages identified in ink.   If somebody had the right hardware/ software they could get a good scan of it and then cut and paste over the ink marks.

I bet there are a few maps in perfect condition out there.  Maybe somebody could get one to the right place and reproduce it.
