unusual sighting issue
#1
Hello,
New player here with a question about unusual sightings.  I had taken a Dwarven 3-leader patrol into a sighting and discovered the prize was another leader.  No problem, I just need to make sure I have an open spot.  Fast forward to next try...this time with 2 leaders.  Victorious again, but one of the regular soldiers distinguished himself and was promoted to Centurion, thereby filling the 3rd leader spot BEFORE I claimed the leader prize.  Since all leaders get promoted when investigating these sightings as a Dwarven trait (if they live of course), am I always going to fill an empty leader spot with a regular soldier turned centurion promotion?  Is this going to force me to have to strip down to one leader only to investigate sightings to ensure I can fill a vacant leader spot if a leader is indeed the prize?  This seems...not quite right, or is that just the way it is and I'm crying over spilled milk?  Anyway, thanks for any tips/input.

No, its not you.  Coincidentally I was just thinking about this potential problem with the Marshal US this morning.  Sorry you encountered it.

We'll have to change it to not requiring an empty leader slot to replacing the lowest ranking leader.  Not much help if you have three Marshal+ already.

Just keep milking that US until you have 3 Warlords . . .

At least you get the gold every time. Of course, you probably have other uses for those leaders...

I never thought about that one Lord Thanatos; what is the difficulty of this US?

Actually I believe it is 'Excellent' the first go round but then switches to 'Fine'.

It was Excellent each of the three times I went into it. The first two had new leaders that screwed me out of the Marshall.

Different artifact query - anyone know if Druid grove is a pop center? Thinking of putting a Plow of the Prophet there  Shy. That would rock.
