I was wrong earlier. The system randomly chooses which zone you get to play if you qualify for several and doesn't choose based on which you performed best as. We changed that at some point to correct another problem we encountered; I had forgotten.

Valhalla is written. The debate is whether or not to use it, not how it should be programmed.

I don't think leaving out the inactive players would solve the issues at all. There was a lot of wrangling like "If you take that kingdom, I won't get invited" and such. Lots of debate and uncertainlty. Valhalla cleans that up.

I'm putting Lord Diamond in charge of the selection of players and zones.  So picking zones on podium appearances and status points seems fine, even if Diamond is one of the 12.   I think if a player like JF is first in two zones, he should get to pick which one he wants.

I plan to use the report provided by the system. That is the simpler version. It will be fine, trust me. I haven't let any of you down yet.

So I get a kingdom that is designed around a diplomacy game to have a chance at winning and yet I get to play anon? I am find with how the people are selected but if it's not diplomacy or it's not random not all kingdoms have a chance at winning. Rick has said more than once the game is designed around diplomacy game so shouldn't the championships be diplomacy?

I would expect in this format jumpingfist will choose Red Dragons.  Along with Atuan, that seems to be the only players that can claim a choice of two zones.

So strange that Rick always overlooks vball....
Maybe I am just too quiet.

Actually Vball is the only player that has posted wins with two positions.  Atuan has a first and a Podium.  Jf has a podium with two positions but no wins.

Well, in the Championship, we don't want an impression of 3 players already aligned.  So Anonymous. 

I haven't solved that problem, so the Alamaze Championship of 2016 will be Anonymous.  And we will trust all players to play as unaligned. 

Congratulations to those on October 15 that make the cut.  It counts as a service level slot, but there will be no setup charge.
