All Games Button Update

Updated the All Games button on the order entry website to also display non-ready games in the newer date format. Hold down the Shift key and press your browser refresh to pick up this change.

So I just experienced my first NEGATIVE experience with the Ready Enabled games and I want to warn all other players so you don't get screwed over.

In all other Ready Button games, I've always gotten my orders in before the deadline. This time I did not, but conspicuously absent was a warning e-mail that my orders had not yet been submitted that is provided for all other games. So even though I had my orders all filled out on paper and was in the process of entering multiple game orders...... I unexpectedly get a new turn pop up in my email. Had I gotten some kind of warning, even a 20 minutes warning, I would definitely have entered my orders for the Championship game before the entering the others I was also working on. Instead I missed out on 4 enemy Princes potentially being captured, could have prevented a wizard from being assassinated, had a siege terminated, didn't take a PC, didn't get to do an Unusual Sighting, etc. And in the Championship game no less. And 13 minutes later, I received all my warning e-mails for all the other games that I was completing that were due Thursday as if to taunt me.

So just a warning to everyone else, that you get NO e-mail warning, when a Ready Enabled game is approaching the deadline.

Also, it is always recommended to submit your orders early as possible and is suggested in the online order entry instructions (step #6): http://kingdomsofarcania.net/forum/showt...9#pid32189

Sorry if the situation ruined your turn but even with an email alert system notifying you about missing orders, it is still not a guarantee that a player will submit their orders on time. There have been network traffic issues in the past that prevented players from submitting their orders on time so it is always a good idea to submit your orders as early as possible.

BTW, you could have pressed the All Games button on the Home page at any time and it would have displayed when your next turn is due and if you submitted any orders so far for the game. It's a comprehensive listing of all of your games together in one display. If you didn't submit anything then a value of 0 orders would have shown in the display along with the time/duedate of when the next turn will execute.

Gift orders

Has anyone noticed that if you try to do a gift of just gold the program inserts a comma in the gold amount and you get an error message?  The fix is you just gift a food along with the gold and it clears the comma.  Maybe this is something that could get fixed in the next revision?

You can just put 0 in the food space

So we finished our ready button game. Did we give the system enough of a test to allow the Ready Button to go prime time and be in play in all games or as an option at game start?
