Dual 1042

I don't  see how I can win. I will play until the end, but I can't figure out how the CI is winning. Must have been a mistake free game with some luck for him or I'm a terrible player and don't  see it.
Great job so far Uncle Mike.

Haven't you noticed that I'm not even in Westania? Left that region for you to grow but you keep on coming back to Ezerbrite. Also, I've been catching your groups while they are divided within intercept range. Try combining everything you have, maybe after recruiting a bunch of WY after conquering Westania a bit, then come at me with everything you have. You know, that last battle that we had lasted well into the later stages and you defended on a 1. What does that mean? That your group with elite RD brigades can take a beating in battle against a superior force. Hint, hint...

I know it's not fun to play in a game that you're no longer interested in so let me know if you want to concede and it'll be over. BTW, I did recruit Hill Giants last turn and they're about as tough as your RD troops so this next battle will probably not go your way. I also have a pwr-3 wizard in that group which will cast Wind Storm to prevent your Red Dragon's fire breath from damaging my troops early in battle.

I think you found my capital back on turn 3 so you should have realized that the other region was free and moved there for yourself. Also, denigrating me in Ezerbrite was a waste of orders/gold, you should have been making yourself friendly in the other region instead.

If you've never played a dragon kingdom before then consider these tips:

1) Recruit wyverns, not bats. Bats are weak. As weak as skeletons and they won't last in battle. They're ok for scouting but dragon kingdoms don't need scouts since their own forces can cover a lot of ground.

2) Recruit a phoenix brigade at the Fire of the Void location (area EJ on Centauria map). Those are nearly as tough as a RD brigade AND they heal the entire group with regeneration. A priestess may be better to heal a single troop type (since the Jan '17 update, that heal has been boosted to 15%) but a phoenix brigade also adds the military power of a tough RD brigade to your group.

3) Read your kingdom setup for anything that you may have missed like creating a Dragon's Lair on turn 4. That's an extra 20k gold every turn.

If you feel you've made too many mistakes and just want to end the game, let me know and we'll concede it.

Thanks for the advice , I did some of the things you suggested like recruit  wyverns and group everything into one except for one turn. , but didn't  go after the other region. I got the lair and so far no battle gas gone my way, so hill giants don't change anything, lol

I will keep playing, still a few things to figure out.

Use the game as an experiment.  Try different battles on different settings.  Understand how troops attrition works, its a very different system compared to older Alamaze games.   Try and find the sweet spot to attack a village, a town, and mabey a city so you can better predict the results.  What spells offer more benifit to your army.  What leval of spell casters should you aim for in future games based on your battles/unusual encounters.  Know what spells for a military kingdom are acheivable due to their increased cost.

I was in a simular game when I saw I was going to loose, so I went and made sure I learned from the game what I could.  It really opened my eyes how different the combat system works in this new edition.  My kingdom birgades (which were CI) were pretty darn resilent.  When they became really experenced, those that got that high were soon fighting as more then any 2 recruted units.   I went from 125 moral down to 80 moral, but since my units kept gaining experance, my overall army streanth kept getting better. ( I had no food in a hostil region.)  The timing of new recrutes and gambling on which unit to reorganize was a pain, but needed to be learned so in a real game, there is no suprise.

Go experiment with agents.  Yes there is a program which can tell you the odds, but experence them.   No one likes the order sell influence, but when your loosing, that extra 10,000 gold can be priceless in some turns.  what weakness does your current empire have, could you use its weakness against you in a future game?  I bet you know if you play the GN, how you might cripple the RD, so what do you need to work on to make sure it happens.  Old Red I bet has an issue with agents being put to sleep, a lot.  So you as big Red, how do you prevent that and what do you need to focus on to beat the Dragons when you fight them in the future?

P.S. I seem to not be able  to find the spell check button so this is probley a tough read.

Thanks Rogal, great idea's,  I'm  trying things out. I did find a bug, I can't recruit the Phoenix,  it says wrong location, but I'm  at the correct location, it seems it hasn't  been  updated for the dual  map. Mike, can you please fix this?
