Congratulations Jon. Nice race there Tark. The Necromancer set me back with my loss of 3 high power Wizards. Nice job there Wayde.
I was coming to visit you in Oakendell to claim my village back. Nicely done Jon, my incantations may be different then yours but a wizard rains supreme. And the Dark elves a close second, congratulations to both. Just 50 more turns and I would have been back in it.
Wayde, Lord of the dead.

Totally agree that the Necro gets the Iron Willed award! I just wonder how it would have turned out if he had seen my earlier missives and we had joined forces. Hopefully in another game soon!

My goal was to get bronze as the Halflings in a diplomacy but not team game. I was in Runnimede and the Sorcerer was in Torvale and we came to several sensible agreements. I garnered the Red Dragon's affections after he gained Amberland, which he felt compelled to do by the game formation postings. But he told me, he would rather eat little people. So he came at that time, and somehow the Halflings pretty much won, with a couple Domes from the Sorcerer. I kept thinking various kingdoms were going to attack him in Amberland, but apparently he had secured a slew of agreements. So I was kind of on my own for a while, but it was helpful a couple artifacts I got like the Stone of All Minds. With the other Halfling traits and some trade, I had five Power 5's at the end.
I actually don't think the Halflings suffered a bad military loss in the game. It was unfortunate at the end of the game the Dark Elf made a great political blitzkrieg into Runnimede, costing me the region and the bronze. I took Arcania (sorry Illusionist) but not holding on to Runnimede put the Halflings in 4th instead of 3rd.
The Halfling special orders and foreknowledge of the Ring of Invisibility mean you can have a lot of gold, a very dangerous enforcer in your agent you've trained and has the Ring of Invisibility, some veteran Ent brigades, that nice corner region of Runnimede and likely a High Council position. Players should want to trade with you. In summary, I think the Halflings are definitely a fun and viable position in The Choosing.

I don't think HA had any chance of taking bronze, even with Runnimede. I'm one who fights untill the end also, except when I played the HA, lol

I mapped out what I thought was a decent strategy but I actually had 4 turns total that did not even process. I still do notknow why as I am very meticulous about verifying and saving. The turn before last was one that would have prevented the Sorcerer from claiming victory.

I was wondering about that. It looked like you just changed your plans.
