Thought I would post a thread: Hello all, I’m Paul, I played this game in the late 80’s and 90’s while active duty. I lost track of it after my two years in Korea and three years in Panama. However the game was always a part of me even if it was slow (snail mail). I will sound like a broken record when I speak of my time on the landline phone with Phil. great guy and fun to talk to. I have played in 1st cycle and 2nd cycle games with several kingdoms played. I’m currently in two games and have already made a couple of friends. I’ve noticed a few upgrades, but the game feels the same. Thanks for having me, and hope to battle you guys on the playing map. I can be contacted email @ razorfan21@yahoo.com
And thanks Rick for the email chat when I first signed up, I appreciated that...

The game here in Alamaze Resurgence (since 2013) is dedicated to Phil. It was so important to him it took his wife and son a year plus to determine to turn it back to me rather than just have it disappear.
I couldn't have brought it back without David Pitzel, and then we see all the improvements Mike has made. Third Cycle, The Choosing was quite a leap from the venerable 2nd Cycle. Why we don't do Excel anymore for example, is Mike. 4th Cycle in The Maelstrom will also be a substantial leap. For example, on a beautiful new map, any kingdom in any region.
Good to have you back, Strongwill.

I have had the pleasure of playing in a couple of games with Paul, (Strongwill), and he is a great communicator, good player, and all around nice guy to be in a game with. We could use more like him! Welcome back Strongwill!

Hi all,
This is Windstar. I am a former player of 1st and 2nd cycle Alamaze. I used to play with the alias of Bash Grimtooth, but I had to take a break due to some issues.
I changed my alias as much has changed, so I am kinda like a newbie in some aspects.
I look forward to some good games!

Hey, Bash - I mean, Windstar! I remember you from Fall of Rome. I am still kind of a newb at Alamaze - I have found that the Fall of rome experience helps in some ways but not in others - there are a few abilities or characteristics in FoR which do not translate - like having your monarch an actual character who can die, command, etc. , or like having agents attached to armies. Anyway, glad to have you around.
