Congratulations to Rellgar who led the Ancient Ones to victory on turn 30.

Victory By Rex Is The Ancient Ones Kingdom!
                           Game End Status Points

Place Kingdom    Player                Results-30  Grand Total

          1     AN     Rellgar                   19,700      26,300
          2     GN     Draugr                    13,170      20,824
          3     SO     Calidor                   14,125      20,800
          4     WA     Whisper                    8,615      14,936
          5     EL     Canticar                   7,560      11,655
          6     LI     Vball Michael              5,100       9,275

Please note that I did come in last place among those who lasted to the end [Image: sad.gif]I had lots of action coming my way the whole game. Every time I held off an opponent, a new invader would arrive. Finally, the Ancient Ones came calling, and the poor lizards were squished down to their last little town. It was full of action and was a fun game. I was trying to move everybody into Talking Mountains at the end to try to slow down the Ancient Ones, but too little too late.

Nice job, Rellgar. And also to Draugr and Calidor for placing on the podium.

It was quite an exciting last few turns for me. I saw the GN was about to go for a win so needed to rouse from my slumber. I was actually waiting to see how the war up North went and perhaps hit the EL in Oakendell if it appeared he would win so I had my emissaries out of position. I declared the GN an Enemy defensively and just in time. I suspected that it was Draugr and tried to plan for his response. It was just maybe 2 turns back that I saw the Ancient Ones could be a threat, but there wasn't much I could do but hope someone in that part of the world could counter. I had enough on my hands.

Can't believe I missed Silver by 24 points...

Draugr what was your thinking in not declaring me an enemy? Was it purely due to the Status Points? In the end it meant the difference between Silver and Bronze but it also gave me a few turns with a big edge.

I was not trying to fight the SO. I only moved because you declared me enemy. I saw the AN was about to win so I just kind of did nothing much. I did try to get lucky and land on the invis capital for more prisoners.

Sorry. If I knew he was a threat I would have played differently. I just knew that you had tried for the Victory condition so assumed you were within reach.

This was an odd game. My first time playing the ancient ones. I had no plans to win this game. I had originally planned to sit back and defend the Sands. I thought for sure I would be an early target. Then I saw LI go north and thought ok either IL or GN would be invading. Then IL hit LI and BL came out of nowhere and took a PC from me with a divsion and captured my gov. ,now this is interesting. It looked like no one was coming for me, so I figured it was time to move. I reconned some PCs and sent emmies to take DE pcs in R9 at same time I attemted trading 1gp for my gov.
I took a couple PCs in R9 from DE . Then I see IL not move anything. I suspect its our fallen hero Ohmann. At this point I debated whether to drop or continue. I decided the fight must go on and decide to target DE, IL, BL and LI pcs. I saw GN going for the win and decided to do the same. GN had left my 2 PCs alone in R8 and I saw a shot straight up the right side for the win. With the staff of the great orator and 4 councils I got friendly in all regions and was able to denigrate LI and WA. LI did stop me for a turn untill I could break his control on R6. After that it was smooth sailing taking over R3. Thanks for what ended as a win for me at such a depressing time.

Congrats to Draugr and Calidor and everyone that fought till the end.

Congratulations to Rellgar and the Ancient Ones on a victory with tough competition.

The code immediately moves the game to archive on a victory so players have to access the final turn via email.

Congratz Rellgar. Unfortunately EL and GN keep me on defense the whole game.
