Help a brother out.

I prefer to lay down the smack in-game and let others talk about it later.

From what I understand the name Draugr on the game sheet is all the smack talk he needs. The Fear just comes naturally after that.

So what is up with some players taking so long on turns, is it a strategy I have not contemplated?  I understand we do get busy with life and sometimes things come up, but it generally is the same players that I notice in most games that take their time.  If games went faster, I probably would sign up for more, but as it is, each of my games somehow ends on the same day each week... I do like the 3 days turn around time because .. life happens, but... I just want to see results and put in orders.

I prefer diplomatic games because of the smack talk.  Each game is different, every position is different. I never hold grudges.

The more games your in Valuthor the faster the turns seem to go. I for one like the three day turns. Just because I work offshore two weeks a month and it is not always easy to get signal. That is the reason I missed my opportunity to trash talk the Dark Elves in our last communication on our mentors game.

Val is fighting back hard though. Cudos to you brother.

As to turn timing, I like the opportunity for faster turns, but I also get that there will be times when I intentionally don't hit "ready" because I need to delay for some reason (e.g. work). When there's 12 guys, odds of that happening for at least one of them is pretty good.

They are only long term if you tattoo the list on your arm. Or recite the “list” every night before going to sleep.

Agreed!  Unfortunately more than one person has quit because of it.   It’s a game!  Sometimes I’m gonna get you and sometimes you’re gonna get me and pretty much every time Draugr is gonna get us both...

I quit one early, not because of the trash talking, but because I literally killed my position....  lol

I refuse to quit. Even when I am behind. I guess that’s the Marine in me. I will stick around and make the other guys position as miserable as I can. But yea it’s a game. I can fight someone one game and be their ally the next. You have to have fights otherwise you have no game.

That’s why I keep my trash talk in character and never make personal slanders.
Amen brother.  From Hell’s Heart I grasp at Thee.

I have never quit and never will.  In my mind rolling over just cheapens the experience.
But as you say, next game that guy who I was fighting could well be my ally.

I personally didn’t even mind the DE blocking my Dwarven city. I would have done the same. The Dwarves on the other hand are looking for a little payback.

Understood.  That was my plan from the beginning no matter who or what was next to me.  My last few games I was utterly passive and thus a non-factor.   This one I may burn out early but at least I will have seen action!

Who is Mad Jens?! That was one of my favorite keepers growing up!

I believe you are the Mad Jens of Alamaze.   Comes from a post long ago from my previous life as the Jumpingfist.

I'm torn between acting confused and telling you that you can't believe everything that comes from Morgan Kane. Let me know which would be most effective.

Also, Jens Lehmann - for those that don't know - is a god among boys. Nicknamed Mad Jens because everyone was pretty sure he was insane, he was the goalkeeper for The Invincibles of the 03-04 season. Come On You Gunners!

Well, since more people would be confused by that explanation than by the original Draugr deduction, I believe the jury will conclude you are indeed the Mad Jens of Alamaze.  Whatever that is.

I believe Lehmann's stint with Arsenal was brief; known more for being the German national team keeper, floating among lots of clubs due to said insanity.

Ry Vor... Was your explanation meant to add clarity? Just curious.
