Atlantians I see we have a common interest.  I signaled my intentions with my actions last turn and hope you will reciprocate this turn.  We are an ancient race and the strength of our fury and the power of our friendship are well documented in the annals of history.

I am hear to learn to fight ... it matters not whose ruins smolder beneath the feet of my mighty dragons.  We can, when pressed, control our most basic of primal cravings --> the Halflings still scurry amongst us uneaten ... for now.

Scurry is not the words your females use when our Halfling men mount them!

Perhaps we need to join in these talks and come play with Stormgate and the baby village.

Old Wrinkled One you are welcome to the party. I will even have my Nanna chew your meat for you. As for the Ranger we welcome. It turns out dragons like the taste of spandex melted to flesh.

Plus our women would like some advice on how to keep the runs out of their tights.

The King of Dragons speaks ....

The "mighty" Reds would like to dedicate a song to the rest of the Kings that share this land. A Bard of uncommon skill and almost gifted foresight crafted the most compelling of ear worms for all of our listening pleasure. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRtvqT_wMeY

The bounty of Pellinor is truly astounding and every time one of our dragons puts their foot down they seem to step on another Ranger Warlord. They scurry around everywhere like ants.....but their bite is like that of a bullet ant variety. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paraponera_clavata

A knife in the back would be very well timed and to the benefit of all that wish to reign in this land.

AN

Whilst sitting on our thrown our court jester also has a song for the King of what’s left of the mighty dragons and Halfmen. https://youtu.be/otCpCn0l4Wo

We had asked the ranger to destroy those villages in Pellinor but it seems they attract dragons and that makes his hunting much easier.

The "Can't Touch This" gauntlet has been thrown down.  Not even our mighty Dragon flames can burn the stench of arrogance out of the air.  The arrogance of the AN is only matched by their decadence and sloth.

I hope that the rest of the High Council sees this and acts before it is too late.  Their military, political and magic resources are committed to campaigns in the East.  The time to strike at the soft underbelly is now.

The wise Halfling merchants forsee trades of greater than 600,000 food been sold off each and every turn very soon and the harvests continue to grow at an amazing rate with the benefit of the Plow of the Prophets and the magical arts of the AN wizards.

To arms and to the air!  Even our yearlings have answered the call to fight.......

I posted this in the wrong thread earlier.  Obviously, I would be more at home playing ANcients than AT!

At the moment my partner, Senior, who was playing DU, has dropped.  That leaves me as AT a ship without a shore to land on.  I have nothing bad to say about Senior or anyone else.  He is definitely one of the better players I have had the pleasure to play with and he was teaching me as much as I was able to help him.  Great team player!

I have sent several messages to support telling them I have another experienced player who has agreed to take over the position.   I also sent Rick a private email this morning and I have had no reply to any of them.   As far as I can tell I am about to become a single player in a game of 2 player teams.  I have offered to take the other position myself as a last resort too but no reply to that either.  I think playing 2 positions would be unfair so that is not my first choice.

I am planning to play on for this turn at least but if I become a one player team this is going to be a major waste of time, in my opinion.

Wookie, AT sailor quickly becoming seasick

Rick handles all the substitutions in a game so I guess give him some time to resolve the situation. Perhaps, he's trying to contact the dropped players to rejoin their positions in time.
Thanks U.M. for your reply.  That's about what I figured and I'm just waiting for this to play out.  Another of our regular players has contacted me and offered to take over the dropped position too.  The game runs tomorrow so I have my fingers crossed that this can get resolved without a missed turn.  I only turned to the forum to let the other players know as I've not heard from support.   Thanks again.   Dan,   A.K.A. Wookie

This was a mentor game not a regular player game?
I got the wrong thread.  It should have been 5329  that AGOGE thing.

It is with a sad heart that I and my appetence shall be dropping this game. We have been in a long drawn out battle for some time, and with the drop of another apprentice (Tac), It has left our plans in doubt. Painted Man (8 games finished in Maelstrom, 4 over 20 turns, and a podium 2nd place finish) being added to our enemy, has stopped the training spirit of a mentor game. Uncledarkseid (zero finished games) and I agree, that we have completed our task in learning, and we had no intent to see a win here in this format, only to share the dynamics of game play. Our goals have been accomplished in that endeavor, and we will move on to competitive game play.

Thank you all for the opportunity to assist a new/returning player. And we will see you in other games. he has said I was a great trainer, however it was my first game back, since my family tragedy, so I’m not sure how good I was. But he looks really good in another gameSmile

Thanks for fighting the good fight P.T.  Your early attack  on Senior and I set us back several turns and many turns later your well defended cities and capitals have still survived.
