The Ranger does not have crap troops. We had two epic battles on turns 33 and 34, both draws, and I needed wins, not draws.
I'll put details in Valhalla after the winner takes his victory lap.

I was never close to a victory declaration, but I felt like I was in it up until the end. Really enjoyed this game and am looking forward to our new one that may start soon.
Maybe we can get some write-ups on this. I really like how some folks attacked leaders when necessary, but no real alliances or sacrificing.
I mean I don't like that 3-4 folks attacked my innocent Illusionists, but I get it.

I can confirm that SO troops (and companions) trounced RD troops (and companions) and DW troops (and companions) on multiple occasions. My favorite was when I was actually trying to run away from 1DW (defended at a 1) and destroyed the group. Oops.
If someone wants to open up a thread and post their story, I'll add mine. Today is a bit hectic and don't want to hold up Pine's crap troop tales.

Congratulations Painted Man, you smartly used terrain and got lucky to not fight RD in the plains, you guessed it 6 out 6 times, finominal. The 2 small groups against your army group were beaten, not trounced. Whatever floats your boat. A nice win, even though you lost 5 wizards against the RD.
Wow the Dwarves folded like a cheap pocket knife.
It seems the AN forgot they could easily denigrate you in Pellinor. It was there poor defense of there PCs in Pellinor that gave you control.
