Greetings to our furry footed brethren. We of the Great White North would like to make a deal to purchase some beer and back bacon for the next 3 months. What would 30,000 food a month run me, eh?

RD-CI: I regret to inform you that the Hobbit Trading Company won't be open this month. It will be engulfed in fire.

We would never EVER harm anyone for a mere artifact.  If, for instance, our archeologists were to run into other groups of adventurers, however superior our forces might be, we would never attack, we figure, hey, whoever makes the find first, makes the find first, there's no reason to fight about it.

I think we can all get along and overlook our minor differences!  Differences, ha, not even differences really, characteristics one might say!

Just as a random example, five finger Harry came back from a visit to Sirroco this month, and, well, you know Harry, his bags were jam packed with stuff that some people might argue, well, didn't belong to him.  But you see, Harry just has a unique understanding of personal property rights, a characteristic of his!

So, we know the stinky Dragons won't be upset.  Whether Harry leaves town with items that "belong" to someone else, or our archeologists dig around on "Dragon Property"  They don't mind!!  Dragons may be stinky, but they are good people too.
RD-HA: We do mind a big mouth for such a little guy babbling on and bragging about taking our gold. We're going to take some back this turn. Whether your pc's are utterly destroyed or just taken for a couple of turns and I move off is up to you.

I'll consider it a lesson taught if you agree to give me the two villages I'm going to take this turn. If not-I'll destroy the town instead of just taking it and move on to destroy another one next turn. I can even tell you which town it's going to be if you like and you can bring your army of shoeless hobbits there to meet me for a party next turn.

Your choice.

Well done honorable and greatest of the Lizards. I held my rock golems' battle lust at bay by directing them to pulverize several mountains. But all good things come to an end, like our non-aggression pact.

Not that I want war, but rules etc.

Good luck defeating the Halfling. His wizards are surprisingly high, on leaf I suppose, as well as supplemented by the adept twins he snuck out from under me (damn wizard caps).

RD-IL: No problem. I expect folks will jump me sooner or later. It's the curse of the RD. 5 regions is really much harder than 4 as I could have gone for Stormgate a few turns ago and Darkover for the win but don't see a path now. I'll just have to seriously hurt those that do jump me or cause me harm in any way which is why I'm burning the Hobbit Trading Co to the ground this turn.

Thanks for the reminder on the NAP expiration though. I hope I don't have to burn up those towns of yours in row J, or the villages in rows M or P either. That would be a shame. That's not planned for now as you've been a good neighbor so far and there are a lot of hobbits to burn alive (along with a pesky Ranger force that takes a village every turn and I have to chase around being unable to flank him but having defeated him turn after turn. his capital falls for the 4th or 5th time this turn, can't even keep count anymore).

Halfling wizards bah. Cold Darkness is an annoyance (which I can protect myself against shortly) but no demonic visions and no dome (which I can dispel) makes him very vulnerable to my groups. His pcs will be ash.

HA - CI  Greetings good sir!  Wonderful to hear from you Mr. Viking, we are completely and utterly open for business and we can most certainly do a nice food trade.  How about 30k food for 20k gold to start shall we?  Three months is it?

In return, Mr. Viking, we would just respectfully ask that you not be too harsh on any stinky dragons you might come upon, they really are confused and sick from all the blinding lights and poisoned food this month.  We'll be trying to enact an outreach program and we'd just hate to see the big bad Vikings stomping the poor defenseless beasts into the ground.  We figure we'll let them tire themselves out here stomping around the shire and crawl back into their caves where we can send out some guys with mops and pine oil to try and un-stinky them up a bit.

We will notify our merchants of the trade immediately, Good hunting Mr. Viking!

My goodness, Mr. Dragon, you seem so pale, and sick!  The lights in the sky are just fireworks my very good friend, you should stay longer and enjoy them!!  And those berries there on those thorny bushes... hm hm hm, yeah I am so sorry we should have warned you about those, they will make you sick every time!

Those old buildings outside the capitol, which is over here, on the water, they are of no use to us.  If it would please you to destroy them, then by all means, enjoy yourself!!  There are probably a few bits of treasure there for you to scrounge, but compared to our glorious capitol, over here, on the water, its really just a pile of trash.

We'd invite you to see it, our glorious capitol... but alas, dragons are so afraid of water... wow, I bet that's why they are so stinky!!

30,000 food for 20,000 gold for 3 months sounds good to us. I'll put in the orders.

Wow! The price of food? Anyone want a (nerfed) bounty spell? 30k gold is the price. I can pay my own bus fare. Successful spell, of course, safe passage yada yada

Ah, Mr Illusionist, I did not see your comment about the HA wizards and the newest members of our Tower.  We're very sorry to have to compete for those brilliant twins, but I will note that our kingdoms did meet in a contentious situation and we, as promised, did not resort to any violence!  You'll of course forgive the dispells, if you even noticed, it was a precautionary measure only!   I will admit, however, that we did know you'd be unable to complete quest, since we were there previously.  We had to make space, you see.  Having previously picked up Nemrond, we had only two more spots for Occav and Vacco!  The Shire's wizard tower is completely full with a dozen promising wizards!

And to the stinky dragon, I just don't think such dull beasts really understand what 12 wizards are capable of doing, even without those fancy "high level" spells which Halflings despise.

It's unfortunate that you admit openly on the forum to disregarding the rules and posting your intentions back on a non communication turn to the IL. Now it's obvious when you were posting about running into another group for an encounter that you were openly telling the IL your intentions, and now you're confirming them during a communication turn.

I'm all good with talking smack, but openly disregarding the rules during the game is not really cool with me.
