Great Lord you mentioned earlier that you might be willing to trade with me should the DU become unwilling or unable. Are you interested in a trade agreement?

I suggest either of the two following agreements:
1) I send you 9k gold for 20k food (or larger numbers if I can manage the gold) each month for the next 6 months?
2) I send you 14k gold for 20k food (5k premium) each month for the next 6 months and you further promise to utilize no covert action against my kingdom (including recons to share with others)?

I am willing to trade gold for food and am further willing to pay a small monthly stipend for "protection" from your covert actions. Smile

The Rules of Forum Only Seasonal Diplomacy

1. Only communication is through the forum (not personal messages, a forum post only);
2. The diplomatic period is only in session for the time between results with "Late" (Season) appear and end as soon as the "Early" (season) results are out (not necessarily 48 or 72 hours);
3. Non-diplomacy posts (status points, conversational digressions not related to tactical or strategic positions) like smack, universal results can be posted at any time, again nothing referring to in-game positions and possibilities.
4. No agreement can be for more than three turns (ending at longest at the next Late season results);
5. No Allies unless a novice player; novices also have unlimited diplomacy with all. Novice = first 12 player game.
6. No Non-Aggression Pacts (NAPs) or anything smelling like a NAP, i.e., doesn't have to say NAP to be a NAP. Don't push the gray area.
7. All these rules are player-enforced as this is outside the program. We rely on the chivalry of our players.

I have a lot of food. I dunno if continuing a trade with Thanatos violates the NAP rules so LMK either way. I can trade with the AM or whomever.

Every word between myself and DU has been posted in Forum. We have made 2 agreements for 3 turns each. I will retake my region town next turn even if we make a third agreement. There is no possible way our arms length public negotiations can be construed as collusion or NAP. He has a Druid Grove and I have a Dragon Lair. We each need to trade with someone, right?
