Am I right in thinking that you can only use 12 brigades to attack a sea PC? I am basing this assumption on having a max fleet amount of 12 and being able to transport 12 brigades to the PC and that you are unable to combine or transfer to create a larger force. (not sure if this is the case). If so is it impossible for many nations to take a Legendary Castle Sea PC?

Your fleets can shuttle troops over, 12 at a time, on the same turn. For example, if you had 12 fleets then your 1WA with 12 brigades could 710 to a water pop and your 2WA with 12 brigades could also 710 to the same hex on the same turn. And then you could combine them. Now you would have 24 brigades to attack a pop. You just gotta worry about sea patrols and such as you travel across. If you have 4 groups you could conceivably get 48 brigs to a water pop in a single turn.

I once had a wiley vet move on my capital in the water on turn 10. He used his eso to award his group 3 extra brigades at the end of the turn on the water

Thanks for the info.
What would happen if the combined group then had to fight an enemy group outside the PC.
Say for example you had 12 fleets and 40 brigades, would you lose a proportion of the entire group (eg 15% of 40 =6 loses, 34 remaining) or would you lose all units above 12 and then a proportion of the 12? (eg 40 > 12, 15% of 12=2 loses 30 remaining 10)

U lose everything that’s not on a ship. Happened to me multiple times even after it was supposed to be fixed. Even one ship of an opposing force engages and your 40 brigades on 12 ships wins, you would lose the 28 without ships. If I remember right on how it happened to me. Basically ended my game at the time.

Thanks, I guessed that was the case. Certainly makes sea PC's useful.

Happened to me too. Lots of 200,000 point tyrant group once in one turn.
