One of the many things that can trip up a new player is not "knowing" the regions.
A major difference in regions is the number of population centers in each and hence, the amount of income that comes with each region. All regions have at least 5 villages but some have 6 or even 7. All regions have at least 3 towns but some have 4 or 5.
Is it any surprise that Triumvia is nearly always chosen in the first three picks when it has 7 villages, 5 towns, and a coastal major city?
Everyone can see the City of Stormgate on their starting map but a new player would not be aware that MQ, the only other square in the Stormgate region, holds the village of Cornucopia and it is the most productive village in the game is addition to having access to TWO Seas, a very unique location.
Here is a question for our programmer, the famous Uncle Mike:
Mike does the programing always create the same number of pop centers in a given region with every start up? Or does it vary from game to game?
