I noticed that many players provide email in full diplomacy (Forum) games. What is the best practice here? I thought on first read that we could only use forum posts for communication - am I totally off the mark?
Thank you!

Full communication is just that. Unless there are limits placed while the game is being created any communication is allowed. Emails, private messages, board, smoke signals, etc. is fine.

3 levels of communication in games:
1. Anon, no communication, including naming an emmy something informative and sending to someone's PC. You can use some signals of friendship such as voting with them on the council, or walking away from a PC after your group lands there.
2. Limited diplomacy or communication. All communication must occur on the forum for all players to see.
3. Full diplomacy is as described by Olorin, make a phone call, have a chat, form a partnership (but not a 3-4 person team), etc....
