5 turns processed in less than 5 days, with each player managing 6 kingdoms...a blistering pace.

RA moved onto SO capital turn 2 and slept the SO king. The attack by the 1RA against the 1SO was prevented by an Ancient Intervention spell and the SO wizards slew the highest ranking RA wizard. 1RA began to siege the SO capital.

Had a couple emissaries bounce off neutral kingdom armies, but such is life. Trade takes an extra order, but otherwise no problems.

I am starting to remember some of the Alamaze things I had forgotten, but old age sure sucks...

The first three turns certainly could have gone worse for me, so I am not too disappointed in unfolding events. Morgan Kane certainly has a HUGE early game advantage, so I am trying to blunt that where I can while attempting to survive with every odds maker and commentator on these Forums predicting my certain doom! Smile

The presence of the absent kingdoms' troops is a huge problem. [I truly was hoping to get Titan games going by making it easy for the GM and exciting for the players. After all, Will had been waiting about a month for an opponent.]

I think I was really screwed by not having a single water town in regions 8 and 9. But, again, such is life. Otherwise, I am very happy with this variant of the Titan contest.

My wife works for United Healthcare and we have arranged for a neuro-surgeon to visit Lord Thanatos, or his surviving heir. Doing a turn a day with six kingdoms, and the ones you can't make mistakes with, well, when they get there and examine you, its going to go one way or the other.

LOL...I'm with you on the order entry issue Smile By far my biggest ones were screwing up my divinations for regions 7 and 9 on turn 1. Really set me back, but c'est la vie.

Been a very interesting game. My esteemed opponent has made good use of the AN intervention spell and knocked off a number of my wizards with the UN (though the UN does seems to have lost a fair number of agents).

UN has managed to stymie the BL in Runnimede...and the AN looks to be moving in with support. EL/WI are moving into Amberland...to be met by whom?Angel

On the positive side: The SO might be completely without pop centers after this turn and the mighty DE is down to three villages (I think).

Regional controls is currently 4 to 3: ES, SYN, SS, Arcania for myself; NM, Oak, and Torvale for LT.

Turn 8 has now finished and Team KRAP has made dogged progress against our cunning foe. The kingdoms of the SO and DE Princes, focus of our Royal Wrath, have been hit particularly hard, losing multiple capitals. Belief is the DE princes have one town (just taken by him) and one village at present and mourn the loss of multiple emissaries as well as their King. The mighty Sorcerer is believed to have one village (just taken by him as well) and few...perhaps, two?...emissaries left. The UN will has his capital and one village. The capital will fall this turn. Alas, the WI/EL/AN have remained unscathed, but shall soon change. The region breakdown is as follows:

Legion of Terror (LT) continues to hold Oakendell, Northern Mists and Torvale
Team KRAP now holds Talking Mountains, Eastern Steppes, Synisvania, Southern Sands, Arcania, and Runnimede.
Amberland is uncontrolled.

Go the wrong way over time? You must be kidding...

This is where everyone expected me to be at the end of turn 4. It has taken him 8 turns to manage an advantage. My DE and SO are both still alive in the face of massive/mighty military invasions. Bear in mind that groups prevent emissary movement and work to capture emissaries. Additionally, capitals are known by results 2 and when captured result in a loss of influence - which hampers the nobility as well.

The UN has had absolutely no luck on its random rolls whatsoever. In game 104 I killed 4 GN wizards by turn 4. In this game, every die roll that is less than 55% has gone his way. But, hey, that is always a possibility in each new contest.

While he does control 6 regions to my 3, I control all of Amberland but for MN, which he just parlayed last turn. Therefore, my production is about 4/6 of his, but my output to pay/feed soldiers is far less than 4/6 of his. My resources are certainly comparable to his and this is how I planned the game.

Ultimately, my plan may fail - but certainly not because of the positions we have achieved thus far. The opening of the game isn't concluded until all ten regions are controlled. Then ... we move into the mid-game.

If Will thinks this post will play psychologically to his advantage he is hugely mistaken. I am either way too brilliant or way to foolish (jury is still out) to be manipulated into anxiety that would cause someone else to concede. You better marshal your forces Will. If you intend to win you are going to have to pummel all six of my kingdoms across the entire breadth of the map!!! Smile

I still wish I had had more water popcenters in regions 8 and 9. Then he wouldn't have been able to attack my capitals in successive turns and drive my influence down. But, such is life in the big leagues!

Well said, my spirited foe!! I do believe the battles will remain tough..but KRAP will prevail in the end Smile

One thing I would point out is the UN rolls weren't necessarily going against you by luck. You are well-known for your love of early assassinations and--when the UN agents are still low-level--guarding groups or particular emissaries can have an outsized effect Smile
