What are the odds that the artifact name that you divine, and then the location you march your patrol to are the same given to another kingdom?

I have attempted this order twice now in two different games. Both times I was given the short name for the Standard of Valor. Is there a specific order that the short names are given out? Will the Standard of Valor be the first artifact short name I receive in all games on the first attempt? Will each king entering that order receive the Standard of Valor on their first divination also?

This seems to be the most difficult ESO that I have encountered so far. Can someone offer advice on an efficient way to accomplish this ESO?

I've gotten wizard slayer as my first once, so I am pretty sure it's random. Of course, the other time I got the standard of valor.

In two games, my first artifact tries have been a weapon, and a wizard, and both times I got items that required keys, first. Sad

So, you could get Elan, The Flame of the North AND The Ring of Power, found the keys early, and that is a bad thing?

No, I didn't get the keys, just the artifact short names for Elan and RoP, which (unless I misunderstand things) do me no good unless I can find the keys, which is a hit-or-miss proposition under King artifacts.

Am I missing something?

In that case, you are missing the keys, but still a great start. If I recall, you have a better chance of locating the keys via divination if you know the location of the prime sighting. You might also want to consider a deal with anyone that finds either key.

Oh wow, if that's true, it's super helpful to know that the keys are easier to find if you know the prime sighting, thanks!

And I agree with you on the diplomacy side of things, it's just hard, because everyone is going to want them.

Is that in the code? I had all the Keys, and all the artifacts that go with them, in Game 100. Except for the two Keys that gave me short names for the prime artifact, I didn't note any ease in finding either one by knowing or having the other.

I think my previous comment was Rural Legend. I have been working on enacting that kind of thing though in the next update to make quests a bit more practical.

790 provides a random short name.
The first check is for type of artifact. If none is specified a random type is assigned.
The code then picks a random artifact from the list, and if it matches the selected type, selects that short name.
If the artifact picked doesn't match the the designated type, another random artifact is selected and the checks are made again.
This continues until a 'proper' artifact is picked.
No checks are made for whether the short name has been selected prior.
It should all still be random, but it wasn't what I was expecting when I looked it up.
