Wow! Nice prose! I'm ready for the Alamaze novel.
Back in the early 2000's, I actually started working on one. I had some free time and didn't feel like 'world building' - just wanted to write a story. Didn't get too far as there were some flaws with my story idea, but I swear I'd love to write one sometime.

One thing the D2 game has is a lot of player generated writing. I have never been very good at is but some guys produce some great material.

Each newletter includes a duelmaster's report and sometimes a team spotlight where players contribute in character writing and short stories involving the game.

It is pretty entertaining and adds color to the game.

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project.
