Final Team Sets for Game #129, Master & Apprentice
-------------- Master ------------------- Apprentice
The Red Warlock (Wynand) And The Stone Giants (Helix)
The High Elves (DuPont) and The Troll Uprising (Jumpingfist)
The Black Dragons (Brogan) and The Dark Elven Dominion (Wynterbreeze)
The Dwarven Lords (Hawk_) and The Witchlord (Veltran)
The Red Dragons (Lord Thanatos) and The Gnomes (Jhereg)
The Sorcerer (The Deliverer) and The Ranger (Cloud)
We are looking forward to copious discussion on this game, beginning perhaps with the Apprentices' first conclusions on the specific tasks before their kingdom after reviewing their setups and Turn 0. You don't have to say what you will order for Turn 1, but what kind of things are you thinking about?

Let's get some thoughts out from the Apprentices as to how they look to approach turn 1. I think one of the great learning experiences here is to leverage off what all the players are going through.... and one of the hard parts for the Masters is to give up the control and act in a supporting role.

For me with the Trolls the first thing is obvious I am by no means a political kingdom. So I need to figure out how do I go about gaining my region by T3. If I send my high ranking Emms to the city on T1 then I will only have 1 town grabber and a strong maybe for turn 2 when I will know my regions towns. So I need to look to my kingdoms strength it's military. How can I turn my military basically in to emissaries the first few turns. With no AN or UN around I should be ok to scout around and not really worry to much. I probably need to make a deal with the GN so I do not run over his town wasting a valuable resource landing on a town I do not want to start a war over. So now I am looking at how to get my groups to town taking strength preferable using 170s because I do not want to waste a lot of 91s on my crappy mages. Oh i need to make my region friendly even though I plan to take it and get a boost later so I can have less troops per group and also give my Emms a chance.
Sorry for being all over the place I kind think that way then put things together later.

I am already learning things I did not fully consider before and am keeping track. I plan to share what I have learn when the game ends but obviously can not openly discuss all items during an active game.
