Oh, re-runs, how I loathe thee.

I am almost always up that early, but I didn't think I posted until a bit later.
![]() 129 was originally due Friday but, as my amazing teammate Cloud pointed out, is not due until Monday with the re-run (that I hate).

That re-run was one the only time I have ever had things get better. Usually I get screwed by those.

Has this game run? I may be missing the results!

I have not seen this guy come through yet, either, but that just means less cringing on my side.

Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to congratulate everyone on the really fun game and thank my master, Wynand, very much for all of the tips, teachings, and support throughout the game - it was a really awesome learning experience. Just to share a bit about our strategy, we decided early on that we would choose logical adversaries and make immediate peace with everyone else in the game. We had 15 turn NAPs with everyone except the WI/DW who it made most sense for us to attack eventually. We extended those to 20 turn NAPs so that they would last long enough to have the regions for 2 turns without being attacked by any friends. I took what I could in my region as soon as possible so I would have the funds to help my master train up his wizards. He was pitted against the WI and I was pitted against the DW. A couple of key moves that we made were: (1) avoiding early issues with the WI/DW when we bumped into them in an effort to wait until we were ready for a war (2) focusing on improving me militarily as soon as possible (lots of recruiting, etc) and my master magically (training every turn) (3) engineering a plan to have me take over his region in one turn - so spending several turns getting everyone in place and having him incite/tax/etc and then grabbing the region and trying to hold on for 2 turns The most interesting things that my master taught me were: (1) from a strategic perspective, the importance of correspondence and engineering strategically timed NAPs, good region splits, etc and trying to spend a lot of time going through options of how other teams will react to your moves and trying to predict their moves and orders based on their previous decisions, experience with the game, personality type, etc (2) creating spreadsheets with regional control calculations to determine what PCs we did or didn't need and could give to other allies, etc Thanks again, Wynand and all the players. Congrats to everyone. I hope you learned a lot and I hope we get to play together again soon! -Helix
