Primeval Alamaze Classic
#1
Primeval Alamaze

This will be a five player, five kingdom format. The game ends when one kingdom controls 4 regions (The Rex), or at the end of Turn 24 based on The Lion's Share (status points). So if it goes to Turn 24, it is $1.67 per turn. Wait, what?

It is a game with Twists: 5 groups, +4 influence. No Allies are declared, and all kingdoms are natural enemies, so no trading or possible alliances. Its like anonymous, but better. You can talk about meaningful purposes in life, you just can't be supported economically.

Ever wanted to see how you can do without a lot of diplomacy, or without requiring anonymous, and with a build up period? Here you go. This one might end up being called "The Four Corners of Alamaze (plus One)".

The available kingdoms in this debut of the format are:
The High Elves
The Dwarven Lords
The Black Dragons
The Gnomes
The Stone Giants

The game, being experimental, does not count against your subscription level. There may be a couple setup changes, FYI. The game setup is $40, which (since it doesn't count against service level) is the whole fee. It ends either when one kingdom controls 4 regions, or at the end of Turn 24, based on the Lion's Share (status points). So I am hoping many new strategies can be tried including artifact hunting for status points or a Rex (4 regions controlled) and meanwhile also test a more open map. I am excited! If players like this format, new games will open with different kingdoms, like with all 3 magic kingdoms and 2 others next time.

Does classic mean old map or still Resurgent just the name of the campaign?

Every new game is on Resurgent until we get a ground swell for the Classic Map.

When I say Classic now, I mean the 15 kingdoms and rules set you are all familiar with.

Well, let me claim the BL please.

#6
Dwarves, please. Strike that. Elves, please.

Yes, let's try the Elves.

Well crap now I am between Dusi and DuPont. Let's think of this more like car racing around a circular track and not boxing in the middle of the ring.

#8
Gnomes please

I want to see what an early consul position is worth considering a T5 one is worth 1 gold.

So, if all are natural enemies, do influence changes affect everyone? also, are dwarf and gnome unhitched, so they are not the only ones who get affected by the other raising influence? I just noticed they are the only actual natural enemies in the scenario.
Also, this feels like there will still be lots of diplomacy, just no trading. after all, there are 5 free regions to fight over....
This should be fun. Let's get a fifth for the Dwarf.
