Primeval Alamaze
This will be a five player, five kingdom format. The game ends when one kingdom controls 4 regions (The Rex), or at the end of Turn 24 based on The Lion's Share (status points). So if it goes to Turn 24, it is $1.67 per turn. Wait, what?
It is a game with Twists: 5 groups, +4 influence. No Allies are declared, and all kingdoms are natural enemies, so no trading or possible alliances. Its like anonymous, but better. You can talk about meaningful purposes in life, you just can't be supported economically.
Ever wanted to see how you can do without a lot of diplomacy, or without requiring anonymous, and with a build up period? Here you go. This one might end up being called "The Four Corners of Alamaze (plus One)".
The available kingdoms in this debut of the format are:
The High Elves
The Dwarven Lords
The Black Dragons
The Gnomes
The Stone Giants
The game, being experimental, does not count against your subscription level. There may be a couple setup changes, FYI. The game setup is $40, which (since it doesn't count against service level) is the whole fee. It ends either when one kingdom controls 4 regions, or at the end of Turn 24, based on the Lion's Share (status points). So I am hoping many new strategies can be tried including artifact hunting for status points or a Rex (4 regions controlled) and meanwhile also test a more open map. I am excited! If players like this format, new games will open with different kingdoms, like with all 3 magic kingdoms and 2 others next time.
