Guys need a little help on the math of 171

If I have a group with a value of 9833, (has a general and morale over 114%) and I am friendly in a region. If i have my wizard cast a 171, will that be enough to take a town with a defense of 8280?

thanks

What level wizard?

Neutral town, you should be able to, even with a p1 (if your kingdom gets 171 at p1, which only a few do). Assuming a p2, then barring someone else there doing status quo the turn before, you should be good... for now... subject to change any moment with the 170/171 changes are implemented and DuPont and I will once again be back at square one.

Thanks guys for responding so quick. Best forum ever.

Oh, so the changes Ry Vor talked about in the first post have not be implemented? Cause that 1.5 modifier seemed like it was making it impossible even with a level 2 wizard that i have.

And actually 171 is now level 2 for the gnomes. At least on my spell sheet.

This might help until the changes go into effect.

Wizard---- Friendly------Tolerant------SUSP
1-----------1.5----------- 5.3---------- 8.3
2 -----------.75-----------4.3--------- 7.3
3 ----------- .29 ----------3.3 -----------6.3
4 ------------.15---------- 2.3---------- 5.3
5-------------low----------- 1.3-----------4.3
6 -------------low-----------..75------------3.3
7------------lower---------.3------------2.3
8------------lower----------.15------------1.3
9------------lowest---------low-----------.3

So if you had a P3 in a friendly region, your group value only needs to be .29% of the PC's value.

You're saying in the case or a P2, the difference between Friendly (1) and Tolerant (2) is 6x? And at P4 it is like 18x to 1? If that was even remotely close, how could anyone argue with an honest heart that the #171 doesn't have to be fixed? There will be no success in any case when the revisions are in place that is not greater than 1 to 1.
