#167 - New Player Primeval with Mentor
Warlock.... are you burning villages in oakendell? Would that be in aid of reducing the population to make it easier to flip?

Should I be concerned for my emissaries running around the area? Seems my ambassador was consumed by magical fire during the fall of Aerandir.

Sorry for any collateral damage. I am just a bit bored so decided to nuke Oakendale. I suspect every PC to be gone after this next turn.

2 villages, 4 towns and the city have been destroyed this turn. They had some strong villages most survived the first round of nukes.

So... theoretically... and for no particular reason... if I ward a pc I control in oakendell and you nuke the others.... (I count 3 towns still standing and at the 2 villages I control)
would I get control of the region... my forth region... and win the game?

If you own 50% +1 of the census then yes you will have control.  Since I have no idea what you do or do not own would be hard for me to guess which to not nuke.   I could take and hold the two towns and two villages my groups are at and likely get control myself but that is not the plan.  I want to nuke Oakendale if you can work a way to keep that from happening good for you on your part.  May be worthwhile to try and claim a win.

If it helps you plan. I have 2 p9s, 9 p7s, 34 wight, 3 ghouls, 5 warlock brigades between my groups. All in R1 currently.

Ok... one more question... does Ward strength work on Towns at same level as Villages? If I want to try put a few wards on a town, since they have the higher population, would it work at the same strength as if I cast it on a village? I would rather try and save a town if I have the same chances of doing so.

Yes it works the same. One ward will cancel one destroy spell. Sometimes people double ward or more to compete with destroy spells. Another note would be if a town is higher than 7000 defense it will require two destroy spells already to destroy it. 3500 for villages

So... Looks like I was able to pull it off.

It was enjoyable trying to get inside your thinking and figure out which PC to ward.

Obviously... With two drops and all it wasn't a victory to crow about...but I learned plenty.... I suppose on to the next game.

One question... I only got two turns off this invoice... Do I get those saved for next game?

Nice job manaleshi getting the WIN. The EL dropped but the BL dropped more likely because you guys had beaten him. He was the early favorite to win but you noticed and allied to stop him. That is some good gaming. I wish more people would attack the front runner in games especially anon games.

Thanks.

When BL took the third region...the only choice was to attack him... He needed only one region to win...lol... Alamaze doesn't give out trophies for second place does it?

Anyway.. Both prime and I are looking at the chivalry game. Although the races remaining seem intimidating.... Prime would probably take BL but the other two look really challenging.

Any recommendation?
