It should be a fun game. I am looking forward to seeing the direction kingdoms take. Who sits back and builds up their armies and waits for the perfect time to pounce on another. Or who makes moves right off the bat. Going to be interesting.

This game has now gotten through turn 6, the first turn with any trading allowed and potential only now for longer term diplomatic arrangements.
I wonder if some brave souls in the game would post on how they felt about this game with less intense early diplomacy, no kingdom funding another early, and having a chance for the game to develop a bit before considering long term deals?

I am requesting players in this game report on what they think about the Independence concept, as a middle ground between Anonymous and Full diplomacy.
Anonymous is very restrictive, and Full Diplomacy is pretty consuming if done with the idea of winning / doing well. The idea in Independence was to let the game develop before forming game-long alliances. The Independence concept can't be enforced by the rules, but we still have no reports of any player in any Anonymous game violating the rules. So, looking for feedback on this. I think it lets the game breathe a bit instead of preset or nearly so alliances from turn 0. But I want your feedback. |
