The Chronicles of the Underworld by Frost Lord
This was the first time playing the Underworld kingdom and I was a bit nervous about being so weak and spread so thin. I knew that anyone, even the Gnome, could dispatch me early on if they chose to focus their attentions.
My early plan was to scout the waterways and take as many sea-bearing PC's as possible, all while scouting as much of the map as possible to locate emissaries that I could kidnap so to bribe my way to the top. I wanted to get my ESO and move against someone in the top 3 after seeing the T12 status points, but instead, I ended up in revenge mode the entire game.
It all started on T6 when the Sorcerer decided that I did not need my PC in region 9. Half of my force and noble court was over there (in region 3 & 9), so I decided to shift much of my remaining resources that way to enact my revenge. I am glad that I did because on turn 12, the Darkelf figured that I did not need my starting town in region 3 and decided to take it for himself. Somewhere in the intervening time, the Ranger and Sorcerer declared each other as enemies, so I decided to turn my attention to the Darkelf. I spent the rest of the time trying to "bring down the pain", but it was more like a little kid scratching the knee caps of an NFL lineman. I would yell obscenities at him and an Army would show the following turn to send my agents and noble court on a round-trip back to Runnimede. I spent more time moving resources back to that side of the map than I did taking action against him.
Somewhere during this time, I happened upon the Ring of Invisibility and gave it to my L19 agent (which made him a L23). I used this to my advantage and kidnapped the Darkelf King...followed by 3 of his Regents before the game ended. I never could get him to lose control of either of his regions as hard as I tried. Whitewolf was a strong opponent and played very well. It was a good fight.
Congrats Canticar for taking the win! and hats off to the other podium players as well.
