The Onyx Imperium in Darkover to the Druid of The Crown Islands:
I would like to negotiate an arrangement to keep my holding in your lands. I'm open to suggestion, but perhaps this needs time to breathe.

Onyx Imperium to the Underworld,
Greetings, cousin. Down the road, perhaps we will have business to discuss.

We like our little vacation spot in the Diamond Coast: it's all the rage. My people, those with eight horse chariots and summer villas, you know the type, really insist they continue to travel there, or else they suggest, a more forceful Imperator should take charge. I say, can't we all just get along?
We have little more than a chalet in your area, brave Halflings. (Do you still want to be called Halflings, or is Hobbit preferred?) If you have a hamlet in Darkover, perhaps we can agree to just keep our vacation spots?
I would also be interested in ongoing trade, though of course here at the onset, the amounts may be small. But to terms, should a standard 2 for 1 (to your benefit, of course), be our initial exchange rate?
Greetings neighbor! Our trading post in Darkover does a lot of business and has grown quite well (its a town) we'd be very happy to maintain control of this outpost in return for you keeping your summer retreat (we assume its a village on the water, if so seems like a good trade). If you prefer to trade PCs at some point, that's OK too.
As for trade, all trade rates are subject to change, however, we are able to sell food on the world market at 3 to 2. We are happy to sell food to individuals at the same rate (possibly worth it for us due to trick of trade).
We are happy to buy food at 2 to 1 (because we can then sell it for 3 to 2 if we don't need it ourselves, and trick of trade, so any trade helps).
We hope to accommodate your and everyone's trade needs!!

That sounds like a plan. Let's start with my keeping my village in your region and maybe you can sweeten the deal a little since you really do have a covetable town location in my region.
And I assume our groups will simply wave at each other in passing....

Yes, but my group may not be moving yet. Otherwise sounds promising.

Yes, I’d like that town. I do not have a PC in your region.
If you tax, would you accept 20k gold for it (for one food)?

What’s going on cousin? Care to trade PCs in our respective regions? I have a town in yours.
As for 1RD- just passing through are you?
I guess the answer to the second controls the first.
Coldbloodedly,
