Game 5632 Yo La Tengo?

The truth is that I always roleplay my kingdoms to some extent and in my estimation, the Fairy King would be horrified by a plague that was killing everybody inside their kingdom and would be motivated to remove such a scourge from the land once and for all. From a practical standpoint, one of my groups accidently strayed over the border in an early turn because of a mistyped coordinate and discovered a pop center by chance so that lead me in the general area.

But also, from a gaming standpoint, I'm not sure why you are complaining when you freely admit you were taking an action that you felt would tick me off. It wasn't just that you left a group in my region, you were blocking the town from me moving anybody into it, which delayed me getting full control. I interpreted this as a hostile action and figured that I should move to rough you up quickly before the plague came back. No, it wouldn't stop me from recruiting but it offends my ruler's 'be one with nature' soul. And the area I have invaded is a forest, which give my hordes of sissy troops their best chance of doing well in battle.

Hey DuPont I'm not complaining although I do find it interesting that you laid claim to my town without a single communication.

Based on the three battles I have been able to witness I think you will be hurting after this next turn.  If you take your groups back to your region I wont hold a grudge.  One other note, since I posted my intentions on this forum, I will be recruiting 2 brigades of Knights of Styx and I will use my special ability to recruit 2 additional brigades.  While you had to siege my town I can hit it outright so unless your group got significantly stronger from last turn, this battle could be tough on you.  If we agree on your departure I wont follow your group

I would like your thoughts about the plague effect.  I think plague would hurt the Fairy Folk the least because I cant imagine you recruiting from your pop centers.  Not with the wealth of companion brigades and summons at your disposal.  Your region was hit rather hard, near 60% pop reduction.  Do you think this will change your game play in any way?

My large friends lets discuss this invasion do you really want to take us both out of the game so early ? When the early game is our best opportunity to conquer easier prey?  My troops cannot hope to match yours but I can promise you they are strong enough to destroy every village and town in both our regions leaving us both out of the game, so lets reach an agreement or  I promise not a village or town will stand to feed your gigantic appetites

GI-LY

What do you propose?

R
You leave my region, I will retake what you have taken.  In exchange I will pay you 20k food or 10k gold a turn for 3 turns, after which point it will be up to you how our kingdoms interact Smile.  Feel free to counter.

GI-LY

Sounds like a plan I will leave your region this turn. And we could start to trade next turn. I choose the 20K Food

GI-LY

Reissued my turn to not attack.

The plague isn't going to affect my play in terms of the fact that I'm not going to be recruiting from pop centers very much but there are times one might want to do so. It's just, as I say, I sort of role play my kingdoms a bit and the Fairy King was most offended by the death plague Smile

I need to declare you neutral first so we will start next turn.

Hey PTRILEY, my group actually has 2 more brigades than your game turn may reflect. I recruited 2 brigades but the programing had an issue. Unclemike corrected the situation.

It probably wont matter. I took a good beating from the Fairy Folk. While I think he actually lost more troops, my group was destroyed. DuPont's overwhelming number of troops won the day. I tip my cap to him.

I don't think my position will last much longer so I drafted a summary of the DK kingdom. I will post it in the appropriate area on the forum. It was written for new players so much of the detailed suggests will be below your skill level but you might gain some ideas that will help you decide if the DK is right for a future game.

Gotcha brother.  I was tracking the conversation in the forum on the recruiting issues, not a problem. Glad he could fix it for u.  Yeah to have two come at you early can make a quick exit.  It wasn’t how I wanted it to go down, but never say never, your still up and moving Smile

FF-RA: I have a fine idea I would like to float. I'm prepared to formally divide the fabled region right in the middle on the M/N latitude if you find that fair. Our fiendish foe might not be finished but our fabulous fancy fairies would rather not fight your ferocious fetching fellows. Our folx won't go north of 'N' and your fighters won't go south of 'M'. Let me know if you fancy this flawless plan.

DK - FF/RA: that is a great idea. The FF depart the region to the south and the RA depart to the north. Its brilliant.
