Hey folks, I am CI in this one. Few statements and a question. First, yes I am a new player. Next is one of our new folks thought this was the game we were organizing over on the ROK. Then he thought there was a messup on his computer and dropped this game. Yes, that was the NE.
Last, my question: My starting PCs were scattered over 4 regions, one so far away it will take 3 turns for the Group there to make it to my starting region. Does this happen often?

Yes it does to me lol. I have to bump a wizard up and kill off weak brigades to make group into patrol, so I can teleport away from danger area. but shouldn’t be four pops in different areas, your original area selected should have a town and a village starting in it. Then if not lucky a town and village out of the starting area. You can also tax the far distant pop to get any emmies back to your capital, but agents won’t move (which needs to be fixed).

Having groups spread out can happen at times. This is part of the random placements on startup, which makes each game unique.
As the CI, you are blessed with good movement—4 in the plains. It may take you some time to make the trek, but along the way, you may discover some pop centers and perhaps even land on an encounter. Another thing the CI is blessed with is good leaders and an affinity for exploring encounters. An option to consider is using the customization order to locate a fine-quality artifact in the region this wayward group is in. This would supply you with an encounter to travel to immediately.
