Evil gets fear, Good offsets that with stalwart.

Evil gets undead and trolls, and few other beasties that add bonus to do evil.

I like the idea of Garth to remove Knights of Styx from game, and let Paladins be Good only recruitable. Pops that had Knights could be replaced if possible with Northman or Zamorans. Imo

Good mages get the summon spells, however those could use some revamping and even a special innate per type. All have the exact same write up so?

I also think being able to recruit more than two out of pops will fix some of this, it will also make raise pop center population spell more important.

The revamp on types of companions that each kingdom can recruit will also balance it iut.. less for Tyrant and Darkelf and more types for Nomad and Ancient ones. For example. Smile

Maybe buff up the Hill Giants to make them roughly equivalent to Trolls and make them more widely available to good guys?

Could, but it is all contingent on what Brek can change without massive programming.

They have some +10% defense ability. Its all hush hush though. I agree other kingdoms should be able to recruit them (EL, DU, FF for example all make sense).

I like this too

I like the Trolls only for the Evil kingdoms, but they do need to be balanced with something for those that don't have them available.

Yes for trolls on both sides.

I like trolls for evil and good can have some ents or hill giants. no need to beef them up just adding a new type helps them more than enough. small tweeks not to upset the balance of the game

Looks like it’s a “no” vote. At this time, no changes are being added to kingdoms. I’ll talk with Mike for the next update and keep the community posted. Just to clarify, this was meant as a quick fix—anything further will be a bit down the line.

I talked to Treebeard and he says "Hrrmmm mmmm ururllmmmm" which means the Druid and the Elf should get to recruit Ents.

Yes, they will receive Ents, and most companion recruits will be bumped to at least 5.

The biggest problem is there is no equivalent to the Trolls regenerative ability for a Good Companion. You could try adding Huons (not sure about the spelling, tree allies of the Ents in Tolkien) with the same abilities as the Trolls for some of the Good Kingdoms and widening the number of Good Kingdoms that can recruit Ents. So give Ents in general, and the Huons for more special, limited number of Kingdoms.

You know what would fix this? Companion GI being for non evil kingdoms. Give the Hill Giants the added 10% in 1st missle phase as bonus. The throwing of boulders at the city gates, town and village walls. Would fix the disparity? But remember evil get trolls but good pay no regional tax like evil does. You would have to go through both sides and see if a change will make one side more powerful than the other? No?
