To the Masters of Secrets: The Ancient Ones,
I see that we concurrently tried to influence Stormgate resulting in the capture of one of my princes. The Dark Elvan kingdom has great respect for the Ancient Ones and does not wish to go to war with you. I see that there is an order to trade gold for a hostage and am hoping that this is an option rather than the outright assassination of my prince. That would be the only way to possibly avoid further conflict. We await your reply.
I'm not thrilled fighting the same player in my first 2 games but geography seems to be dictating it! I'm sure some other players won't mind using me as the 'useful idiot' to do their dirty work by getting shellacked while taking on a top player in this game.

Good question sir. The dark elves aren't among the richest kingdoms in the game. I've asked a couple players that I've communicated with via PM as well as in the forum via a new thread. Assume I'll have a better idea what to offer when in a few days.
Question: Do you really consider yourself a noob? What's the learning curve for this game!!!!!

The Cry of the Withering Dominion
By Lord Telor, Warden of the Elves, Keeper of the Moonlit Watch
From the ruined halls of Zamora I send this final call.
The waves of the Sword Coast have gone silent — its cities, once ours, now serve other banners. The glades of my birthlands burn, their white towers toppled and buried beneath the dust of ages. Where once songs rose to the stars, only crows answer.
I have returned from long silence to find my realm broken, my hosts scattered, and the moon dimmed above the Evergreen Dominion. Two turns of sleep have cost me nearly all — my armies undone, my wizards slain or fled, my allies fallen quiet. I wake amidst ruin.
Yet ruin does not mean surrender.
To any realm with strength still in hand — whether out of friendship, ambition, or vengeance — I offer the last of the Elves’ treasury, supplies, and ships to those who will aid in striking back against the Nomads of Zanthia, whose opportunism feasted on my slumber and left my people destitute.
Stand with me, and the Elves will not forget.
I do not promise gold — I promise memory. Those who help restore what was lost will find a steadfast ally in future councils, and a seat at the fires of a reborn forest.
But those who would profit further from the Elves’ fall, know this: I have walked the ruins of cities older than your empires. Even dying, the forest roots run deep. We remember every name that lifted a blade against us, and every hand that helped us rise again.
The Evergreen Dominion is dying — but not yet dead.
Lord Telor
Warden of the Elves
Last Voice of the Moonlit Watch
(OOC: I missed two turns due to emergency travel across the country to care for my mother — she’s safe now. I returned to Alamaze to find half my realm gone, but not my spirit. If any wish to coordinate against the Nomads, message me privately.)
(OOC2: Well done, mighty Nomad!! Holy cats, I had no idea you could so quickly bring a prosperous people to ruin. You coordinated your attacks masterfully!!! I took notes - mighty sleep magics...)
(some hours pass)
A report from Serethil, Seneschal of the Evergreen Dominion
To all realms who still read the Elven script: know that the Dominion yet endures.
I write from the edge of the shattered glade of Wyrmshade, where the banners of Lord Telor have been raised once more. Refugees from the Sword Coast have crossed the river under moonlight — wounded, starving, but unbroken. They speak of cities drowned in ash, of Nomad horsemen plundering sacred groves, and of a sky red with the smoke of our own burning ships.
Yet among the wreckage, something has stirred. A shard of the blade Narsil has been recovered from the ruins of Challenger Bend, its runes flickering again with faint green light. The last surviving mages whisper that the sword still remembers its purpose, and that the forest itself listens.
Lord Telor gathers what remains: a handful of scouts, one surviving company of bowmen, and the faith of those who refuse to abandon the light beneath the leaves.

To the mighty Elves:
Clearly, my renegade Nomads had no knowledge or notice of your absence, but did wonder why the invasion was so unresisted. If you would like, we can withdraw our forces from Zamora and allow your tortured kingdom to survive and enjoy rebirth.
The thunderous clouds of Nomadic hooves move quickly and change direction effortlessly.
Sorry about your personal situation and hope all is well there.

To the voice of the shifting winds,
You speak with the wind’s grace, Awesomest of Nomads, and I thank you for the words of concern.
The Elves are a patient people — we have outlasted storms before.
Should your riders turn aside, I will meet them not with bitterness, but with the courtesy due to those who grant reprieve.
And if they do not… well, the forest has a long memory and a longer bowstring.
[*](OOC, you've earned your success - and I learn in loss. I'll do my best to reclaim my territory and will fight to the last, but have no doubt that you've got me! Nicely done.)

Nomad to Elves
The Nomad emissaries have received orders from headquarters to abandon all 10 of the PCs they are currently visiting in Zamora. It is hoped that none will hinder their timely exit from the region.
The Sword Coast must remain under Nomad control, but Zamora appears to have a gas leak and troops and emissaries are being warned away from that region.
With such, the Nomad wishes all due luck to the elderly Elves and hopes they can get their gas leak under control.

I have won a few games, but been totally schooled in several. Maybe next level noob.
how about 40000 for your prince
Mighty are the ancient ones to receive the attentions of the fairy folk, the dark elves and the deathknights all at once. It will be a mighty struggle.

Hail O Mighty Ancient One,
I'm not a proxy for the Deathknight or Fairy Folk kingdoms, but the Dark Elves did not initially desire an extended conflict with your kingdom. We had a mishap in Stormgate that quickly escalated into the exchange of several PC's and ended up with word that my now vanquished queen is overly fond of the medicinal qualities of the poppy. The damage has already been done and paying an exorbitant price for the release of Prince Blacksoul is not an option. Should you desire to have one of the kingdoms attacking you cease hostilities I highly recommend that you release my prince for the bargain basement price of 500 gold.
To The Everlasting Night of the Deathknights Kingdom.
The Dark Elves do not wish you harm. We have a score to settle with the Ancient Ones, which is the reason we've entered Darkover. I propose to move no further North than Ramhorn, which would still give you control of the region as you'd have most of the large PC's.

To: The Encompassing Realm of the Fairy Folk,
We've had an uneasy but workable truce so far in Nyvaria. I desire to take back those PC's in Nyvaria that the Ancient Ones have stolen from me, just as you desire those that he's taken from you.
Last message:
Deathknights: Rereading this makes it look like I may have interest in Ramhorn. My desire is in the few PC's South of that great city, including the one in my control where we currently meet at. You'd still have control of the region with all the PC's to the North.
Ancient Ones: Nyvaria must also be vacated. Should you wish to continue our conflict feel free to eliminate my prince and I'll eliminate your lower level emissaries suffering in my dungeons.

This game is a blast!! I know I've no chance to win any games (maybe in a few years if I continue) but even getting beaten can be fun.
I also apologize for always coming up to the time limit each turn. I got overextended by joining too many games on top of real life and won't do that again

To the Dark Elves,
The dead find your proposal acceptable. I shall withdrawal my emissaries and armies from all Darkover PCs south of Ramhorn.
