Hey Folks,
A group of us are trying to set up a player-organized Titan tournament. At present we have six players and are looking for two more. Anyone interested, just reply here (BTW: since the tournament is player-organized, it would count as three slots against your service level.)

I think we're all set with this, folks... we're going with a smaller Titan tournament with six players. Thanks!

ANNOUNCING THE 2013 TITAN TOURNAMENT
So we have six hearty individuals who are competing for a privately-organized Titan tournament! Here are the players:
1) The Deliverer
v.
2) Lord Thanatos
3) DuPont
v.
4) The Sten
5) Morgan Kane
v.
6) HeadHoncho
Pending final confirmation from the players, rules for the tournament will be as follows:
1) An initial bracket was determined by random draw using an online dice server with e-mail confirmations.
2) Kingdoms will be selected by the players using the standard 1-2-2-2-2-2-1 drafting order. Bracket positions 1, 3, and 5 select first in their games.
3) All Kingdoms on a side start allied, except for any natural enemies. Neutral Kingdoms are unseeded and not present. This is to minimize extraneous random influences, since this is a tournament match.
4) A win is determined by either concession, drop, or at any time starting at the end of T5 that a player has control of four more regions than the other player.
5) After the first game has finished, in order to expedite the tournament resolution, the winner of the other two games (for the purposes of the tournament) is determined by the number of regions controlled on the third full turn after the finish of the first game, with remaining players in the other two games being entitled to insist on playing until at least the end of T8, if they so choose. Note that players are running the risk of having some idle slots, if they finish early!
6) In the event of a tie in regions as time expires, the player with higher census wins. (Of course, if the players want to continue playing their Titan game for fun, that is up to them, but for the purposes of this tournament, a winner would be selected to advance using the above criteria.)
7) Players must submit at least one turn per week. More often than that is fine by mutual consent, but less is a problem in terms of pacing for everyone else. The maximum rate for Titan games at the moment is two turns per week, FYI, to prevent Titan games from being too overwhelming to GM.
8) After the bracket elimination, there will be a round robin tournament among the three winners. Because there is now no more pressure to finish games quickly, all games can be played out until concession, drop, or control of four more regions than the other player.
9) Best record in the round robin wins, with a tiebreaker of total number of regions controlled, followed by census in the event of a further tie.
Drafting can occur in this thread, if people want, or they can start new threads. Let the games begin!

Exciting stuff!
If this goes off and completes as intended, the Champion will name a region in the 3rd Cycle map (subject to approval).
Only qualification: all contestants should expect turns will be run weekly on Wednesday only. There is no need to send "reminders" about turns being submitted early or requests to reschedule. If the GM wants to run a turn earlier due to scheduling issues, and turns are in, he will, but don't drop hints about it - there's 10x the other players that need attention as well.
