Could even wait a couple hours at the end of a draft round so we do not even know what order we picked. Should be fun being the only person to see the draft unfold.

I would treat the 'draft' as if you were all picking at once. I'll make sure you have no clue which order you pick in. Smile

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Anyone who reads this post should feel completely free to ignore, disregard, scorn, implement, improve, dispute, or otherwise comment upon its content.

I assume this will be on the resurgent map.

In no particular order, this is the signup list. Only one seat left. You just need to have two game slots available to play three kingdoms.

1. DuPont
2. wfrankenhoff
3. Jumpingfist
4.

I'd love to join, but it'll depend on whether or not one of my games ends this Friday (without me placing on the podium, boo).

Here's how it would work: You sign up to play and submit a list of all 15 kingdoms in order of your preference to the noble gamemasters. No conditionals - that is, 'If I don't get the RD, give me the DW instead' - just a straight list.

The GM draws the four names in random order - so he assigns numbers 1-4 to the players. Player #1 gets the first kingdom on his list. Then Player #2 gets the first kingdom on his list unless it was the one Player #1 got, in which case he gets the second kingdom on his list.

When you get to player #4, he gets two draws in a row, then it goes back to 3,2,1,3,4,1,2 until everybody has three kingdoms. Non picked kingdoms are not present on the map. Players do not know which positions are not being played. The composition of the teams in not announced and allies are not declared at the start.

So there is room for all sorts of mayhem. Declare one of your own kingdoms an enemy! Vote for a random person on the HC! Declare an ally of another player - even better if you determine it's a position that is not being played!

How does one win? Control of 6 regions or most status points at turn 40. No contact, in or out of the game - scout's honor. Sending in game messages is an interesting idea, but too complex and we want something easy that doesn't give the GM any new work.

So, what do you think? Sign up!

Oh, and for the culturally challenged Dusi, Big Grin I offer these lines from Mathew Arnold:

And we are here as on a darkling plain
Swept with confused alarms of struggle and flight,
Where ignorant armies clash by night.

Sounds cool. Let me know when you have it programmed.

Actually, we can probably manage most of this, although I may need to revisit.

Even though your setups will reflect the Secret Victory Condition, there will be no secret victory condition. A kingdom can win solo by controlling 4 regions, or a Warlord can win by controlling 6 regions, and requesting a 995 victory check.

This will be on Resurgent. There will still be natural enemies. It is Anonymous, your Honor is at stake.

And as another custom game, which would normally be $20 setup for a 15 player game, but this has but 4 players each with three kingdoms, so this will be a $40 setup.

So, if you want in, do not post as this is a small anonymous game, just send your email to signup@alamaze.co with your ranking of 15 kingdoms, acknowledge your accepting the signup fee, and I will post a message when we have the 4 Warlords ready to go. You must be Commander Level Service or above to be in a Warlords game. The personas posted on this thread are not necessarily in the game - it is first come, first served on the full message (kingdom ranks, setup acknowledgement) to signup@alamaze.co.

Very well, still send your email to signup, but we will look for Lord Diamond to run the draft and tell Grasshopper the results at signup@alamaze.co.

Again, the persons posting previously may not be in this game, and if there is more demand, we will start a second campaign of this type, and let everyone know.

As soon as the game is filled, I will run the draft. I will provide Signup@alamaze.co all the relevant details.

I was surprised at the $40 setup fee.

Game is filling, spot(s) still available as of now for non-complete requests at signup@alamaze.co. - no posts prior to this evening count, as mentioned, send email to @sugnup@alamaze.co. If you don't get in this one, send an email and we may start another. Remember, Commander and up to get in.

Once I get the four players I will advise Lord Diamond and the contestants can sort out the kingdom selection with him. Right this instant, two players have been advised they are in via email - if you didn't get that email, you are not in, as of yet.

Game filled. You will have gotten an email from us if you are in this game, which again, are not the same personas that posted on the thread earlier.

If you'd like to get in another one of this ilk, maybe post here and send your kingdoms to signup@alamaze.co.

I thought Warlords had potential!

We have 4 kingdoms. Send your first pick to ded127@aol.com.
