Primeval Alamaze Classic
(BL) Well, as we enter turn 9, all regions remain controlled. Despite the EL fear that he might be knocked out of one of both of his regions, he's held them for this turn. He even released a skeleton on the DW - turns out the wee one is scared of enclosed places, which must be a real handicap in those mines. Forests too, as the people of Oakendell seem to have been put off by this news. Also, given that the High Council chamber is so tight, we've kicked him out because it's not fair to expect him to meet in such a small place.
Meanwhile, I'm having High Priestesses die like flies all while turning up artifact locations that probably won't do me any good because there seems to be a serious disadvantage for the BL to get them. I knew there was one, of course, but don't yet know just how strong you have to be to be even with another kingdom.

In my Titan game I have had a BL patrol try three times now on a three to get an encounter. The patrol only started with a captain but now has a general captain I and I split off another captain. Since you do not loose moral in a patrol seem not to bad for raising the leaders up. Just curious when he will finally succeed and what the artifact is. Giants and Ranger seem to never miss unless a low level threat lvl is required.

(GI). All is good in giant land. We continue our methodical march thru the Elven forest trying our hardest to avoid any of those Elven fairies and there wood. I did find an abandoned capital town but only the sent of the Elven high priestess remained. No pointy ears to be found. When the city fell I did find posters of myself along the walls for my plungering I have been doing.

Plungering? Are you cleaning the Elven toilets? Nasty!

Someone has to do the dirty jobs in Alamaze.

The Giant and Dwarf tag-team continues, and finally Elf (me) has been knocked out of control of Oakendale. The battle for the Mists remains interesting, as the deceitful Dwarf has not made much of a dent against a dedicated Elfin defense.

Of note to the Gnome and Black is that there are rumors that the Giant and Dwarf entered into a game-long agreement, so once they are done smacking around this poor, helpless Elf it doesn't seem that they'll be turning on each other.

(BL) Seems that the residents of the Eastern Steppes have been complaining that the DW is an 'absentee landlord' - imposing harsh taxes but not providing any defense. The Black Dragon has stepped in and this month saw several interested parties running around various towns taking the pulse of the population.
In other news, I was able to finally succeed with an unusual encounter. It was only a 200 point one, but I was able to get it with two General Is and a Power 3 using 101. Going in at 3, of course.

I would guess that there is a certain amount of absentee-ism with the Giant as well, given that 4 of his possible 5 groups are lumbering around Oakendale.

In better news, my influence has yet to hit rock bottom, and apparently the DW's influence isn't much better because my attempts to denigrate him have only failed once. Good stuff!

(BL) Well, the stalemate has been broken for the moment. After a few turns of everybody holding 2 regions, the EL lost Oakendell to the GI and the DW lost the Eastern Steppes to the BL. It's tough in a game like this to know when to 'jump' but the DW seemed to have been caught off guard in 6 as he'd not gotten around to declaring me an enemy (nor me, him, as I didn't wish to highlight this fact - I've no taken care of this detail). I think with this game, it's going to become standard to declare everybody enemies during the early moves with the expectation that sooner or later you'll likely bump heads given the smaller number of players.

DW got his reward for his duplicity. Unfortunately, it seems GI was also rewarded and has laid claim to Oakendale.

Anyone looking for the staff of the orator can track it down at the Giant capital.
