Okay, but I think whoever gets last draft on the players should get first draft on the kingdoms. I got screwed on that in 144.

I have no clue if it was or was not that way before. But seems fine to me.

I think players should be able to choose their teammates. Some of the point of the Magic (team) game is now you are on the board as partnering with two other players you like to work with, as opposed to Steel where it is not supposed to happen from the beginning.

I think that there is value in being "thrown" onto a team with folks you normally don't play with. It helps to break up the predisposed alliances.

I think both ways work well. The last game 149 we did as suggested people could bring there own team. Turned out to be 4 high powered teams but none of the newer players. In the first game 144 we drafted and it allowed for new to mid level players to get in n the fun. I think if people bring there own teams some of the less experienced players are going to feel a little shy about trying to get on a team and bring it down. I liked my team last time during the draft. I never worked with one of my members but turned out to be great to get to know them.
If we were all hanging out in a room could be different because we would be able to quickly shuffle around and create basically balanced teams that every one also likes working with.
