The AN has ward as a level one spell. The AN starts with a Baron in R8. He should probably send a Baron to Esteria Vale to play defense.
I don't think the map size needs to change to slow region capture. I do think a slightly larger map would allow for more pop centers and resources. I prefer the 12 player games with slightly more resources to spend compared to the 15 player games. It expands your options for kingdom development.

So far, my only bit of conflict has come from the TR who landed on my village in Torvale, politely wrote to say that he would be taking it and did this whole Marquess of Queensberry thing to say he'd be attacking me in Oakendell as well. It was very nice to get the warning and my pointy-eared underlings are preparing the arrows and boiling the pitch.

A reminder that the General Rules and Commands have been updated. Of course, they don't include the changes to kingdoms. The Elves are a kingdom with quite a few changes, that include:
1. Elves
a. (Forest Supremacy) Now +50% in the forest;
b. (Evasion in forest) Like DW in the mountains, EL can avoid combat with an alternative to 120, 118 as available and tactic of 1 in the forest. The reason for this new order # is Elves may often wish to have combat at a 120 and 1 retreat due to their advantages in forest (archery), so an alternate order number is needed to avoid combat.
c. EL are +25% vs. TR in combat, and TR are -25% vs. EL (Similar to DW vs. GI)
d. MP cost in the forest is 4 (was 5). MP in mountain, marsh and desert is 7 (was 8);
e. Intercept range is 4;
f. Starting Sea Quality moves to 13;
g. Guarded Attack is gotten at P2;
h. At start, the P1 in 1EL is now P2, and the adept in 2EL is now a P1

And an intercept of 4 for Elves?? Really?
The RD only has four and they fly...
Speaking of Dragons... when are they going to be given this new 'Breath of the Volcano' power I have heard so much about?

Keep up the good work, Mr. Dragon! I got a very slight influence bump this turn... looks like someone caught an envoy!! While I wouldn't consider that high-powered, it's a start, and every little bit helps.
