Need a new sign-up with a couple of games ending recently. This seems to be the most popular lately.
It is also my favorite format since I am not a great or natural diplomat Smile

.

Please advise if we should be starting such a sign-up or are we really close to a new world?

We need a new 12 player signup of some format. Below are the last ones started. Let's get some feedback on which should be next. We could start two threads, but likely that means each takes twice as long to fill.

#170 Magic (team-only victory)
#171 Steel Anonymous Pagan Chivalrous SVC
#172 Primeval
#173 Full (15 player) Steel Independence (limited trade and agreements)
#174 Steel Anonymous Rex Feudal Chivalry (newer players pick first and get +25k gold)

I'm not convinced Pagan will be a popular/viable format. I don't recommend a third game of that type until the first two provide more feedback.

I'm thinking either a new Magic game with diplomacy only within the team and only team victory, or Steel with Feudal Chivalry and SVC. Or both.

What if we merged the team concept with a mentor concept, and do a Magic (draft) where at least one teammate must be a new(ish) player?

I like the idea HH. I will say the team mentor game I am in has been likely the best mentor format,
May one non podium on team team gets nothing, two both non podiums get 10k.
Of course they need to know no quiting

The 3 team mentor has been fun but I wonder if it's better than a 4 team version. We basically let 2/3 of one team build for like 20 turns while we beat the snot out of each other

It should be 4 teams of 3 yes. Last time took to long to get enough new guys this time it is more open

Is this an ANON Steel signup? Or something else? Some of the posts seem to describe some other format.

This thread is presently a chat to determine which format should be the next to queue, or possibly two of them.

I think with another voice or two we look to have a Magic game, which is semi-anonymous - communicate only with your own team, with a team having no more than 2 podium players.

Then we might also have an Anonymous Steel thread if there is interest right now for that. Otherwise we should just fill the first so players don't wait in the queue too long.

Well, if another voice is needed, I have an open slot now that I would like to fill. I'd be happy to join either a Magic game or an Anonymous Steel game. I do like the idea of a minimum of 12 players, though that won't impact my interest in signing up.
