HA - EL

First of all, Loren, the "late" diplomacy refers to the "month" of each "season".  If you read from the top of your turn result it will say "early" spring "mid-spring" or "late" spring, for instance... it is on the turn results that say "late" that we are allowed to fully wheel and deal.  The turn results are basically after turn 1,4,7,10,13... and such.

But you are free to deal at any time.

AHEM, with regard to this "relic" you found, its probably nothing, a trinket really, but being the kind a generous souls we halflings are, we'd be happy to take it off your hands, for say 100,000 gold?

A steal really, much more than its worth.  But if you decide you want to keep it as a wall decoration or something, you should transfer it to a PC that is first of all, secure, and second of all has a high food production, as the plow will double the food production at that PC. (used to be triple, but got smacked with the nerf bat.)

You can use the wizard spell called "fertile fields" to increase the food production of any PC and the 600 order as well, the plow will double your efforts there, so its like having double the wizards casting fertile fields that you are using.  With the bounty spell similarly crippled, the plow and fertile fields is a good way to make a lot of food... AHEM, well, some food, not a ton... you would be better off selling it (but not as well off as us).

If you have extra food and would like to sell, since you are new, YOU can contact me every turn, we do not need to set up a standing trade agreement to trade through the "non-talking" turns.

As indicated, we will buy up to 100,000 food for 50,000 gold per turn, per player.  We wont waste an order on a purchase which is less than 50,000 food for 25000 gold.

Glad to see so many new players!!!

HA: I should really take you up on this, as food and gold have been quite valuable and in short supply... What do you propose? I do have quite a bit of food - I found this magical plow.... but I'm not entirely sure how to best use it. Perhaps that could be leveraged to mutual advantage - have you any tips about how to maximize the returns on such a relic?

RA: It pained me to attack those known to share our values, but your assault on our village could not be left unanswered!

RD: It seems some of your agents laired near our recent bloodbath with the RA. They were captured as our armies swept the area and told our Captains that their presence in The Crown Islands was entirely due to the RA fleeing there.

I believe them.

Shall we work out an exchange so that I might see them returned safely?

OOC: I've been a bit mum on the forums, as I saw some notes earlier that suggested we should not discuss deals until a later stage in the game. When might that begin?
OOC2: Happy New Year all!

RD-EL: Well met Elf. I'd be willing to give you 50K gold (as well as a promise not to come for you next) for the Plow and am certainly open to trading for my agents. How about we trade for my Fanatic and I release your Agent 4 I have?

What a bidding war for a "nerf[ed]" "trinket" of "no apparent worth" that "makes the owner smell bad" and is "stinky"!
IL-EL
I'd offer you a bounty but it appears you already know this spell. All I can offer, then, is my friendship, of little worth to be sure, but at least I ask nothing in return.

OOC- Yes, Happy New Year everyone. Stay well and best wishes for a better 2021.

You forgot to mention it makes your notepad shrink!

But there is no war here, bidding or otherwise!  We halflings are humble, peace loving creatures (with sticky fingers) and we would most certainly not, under any circumstances, dispatch our "collector" to retrieve this trinket, should the stinky dragons find themselves in possession of it!

And to the Mysterious Illusionists, whom we have heard so much about, but oddly have not yet seen, we gratefully accept your offer of friendship and freely offer ours in return! (to the extent the game rules allow)

(However, due to a recent cost-benefit analysis of the bounty spell, adherent to the rule change clause in our agreement we humbly retract our previous offer of payment for bounty)

We would be happy to pay top dollar for you food though!!

RD-HA: For a peace loving little people you run your mouth freely about your distaste for Dragons. I’d recommend you watch your tongue or we’ll dispatch a group down to meet your “collector” face to face. I don’t think you want that. But maybe you do?

RD-IL: The mighty red dragon appreciates our cooperation to date. Excepting of course your patrols moving into my region attempting to take our artifacts. I don't want to see that again.

I'm open to formalizing our friendship to the extent possible. Is it 3 turn NAP in this game? If so is that something that interests you?

Well, you have to admit I didn't take the "foul smelling" "not very useful" "trinket". Now, maybe I lost the coinflip, or maybe I decided that winning the coinfllip wouldn't have been worth it. What'd you get, anyway? Also, the recruiting and regional intrusion didn't begin with me. But in the grand spirit of your offer and the magnanimous nature of your reign...

NAP is fine. I still need to recruit as my region's terrain is no bueno. Non aggression for 3 turns, and no artifact hunting by me in Triumvia or you in Zanthia.

Other regions are open for artifact hunting by either of us (you know, depending on what whoever might live there thinks).

You can recruit at my volcano without interference. I will not be visiting Triumvia but may need to recruit elsewhere.

Fair? What say you, Great and Terrible and Good Smelling Red King?

RD-IL: Done. I did let you know why I was in your region, I'm not sure I got that same warning about your 1IL looking for artifacts in my home region. I assume you didn't go for the coinflip. I think it was a good choice. The green dragon mates are nice to have. Although truth be told I'd be up for trading them for your Spear if you'd like? The green dragon mates could be more useful to you than me as you get to fly a patrol around.  Although it's an excellent class and the spear only fine?
