Thanks for the update, UM.

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Anyone who reads this post should feel completely free to ignore, disregard, scorn, implement, improve, dispute, or otherwise comment upon its content.

First, thanks so much for the prayers and well wishes.  I think they paid off.

To clarify some, I self-admitted for a procedure.  The doctor explained it was dangerous and some people die from it.  (no, it wasn't to become a lich JonDoe :-).  That would have been easier.  Having nearly died on the way to the hospital in an ambulance - boy those five paramedics looked shocked when I opened my eyes.  Held overnight for observation and a brain cat scan, the Dr. explained I could go on as I had or undertake this procedure that should take a stay of two r three days, sometimes as much as five.  Again, chance of death increases with the time required.

So during the 20 days there including 4 in a ventilater they left me plenty of gifts, like a serrated knuckle on my left index finger, elevated white count, persistent fever, high blood pressure, and when I thought I was about out of the woods started AFIB with heart beat of 185.   The pneumonia present that ensued was more like a mosquito bite in comparison with all the rest: just an annoyance.

So 18 days in a hospital bed - never out of it - physical therapy was the last hurdle.  Somehow with all they did I had forgotten how to stand and walk.  On June 2nd I said my goal was to be discharged June 4th.  They said its good to have goals but a week from Saturday was more likely.  I was out last evening and home.

So its not over, new set of challenges here operating at 20% and without a crew off nurses to attend to ma.  Mrs. Vor has been outstanding through the whole thing.

I almost died twice within a fortnight.  You got to know when to make those die rolls.  Yes, Susan had been in frequent contact with Mike duing this time and a succession plan of sorts had been worked out for Alamaze.

Its great to be home but I think it will be about a week until I'm near full speed.
