RA- yes you are correct my Illusionary friend. Please take some compensation for my mix up. If we can still swap pcs  in the near future, I will also trade you my Black Owl Totem (which then can't be used to search for your hidden capital) and assure you a peaceful  southern border.

My apologies,
Rellgar

The day is cold and dreary but the Master of the Dead would not know. His experiments have held his attention fully. Tired and hungry he comes up from his laboratory from deep below the castle dungeons. After two straight days of important experimentation, his weariness is evidenced on his face

His page is there to meet him as he enters the kitchens and says. "Master a communication from the peoples of the south who were the tights and the funny green hats"

The Master of the Dead gives a look of annoyance to his page saying "What matter of triviality could they possibly want? Do they not know that we are on the precipice of defeating death itself. Of being able to create immortality."

Opening the envelope he quickly reads the message. With weariness, he pulls out his quil and writes a response. "Tell the Master of the Men in Tights they can tax it come spring or offer a replacement in their realm."

Stopping to think for a moment the Lord of the Dead pulls out a new sheet of paper and sighs, "This state business is tedious but I should deal with this now also."

In his hurried hand, he writes,

NE-IL

"Somehow our town has ended up on your side of this mortal border. We expect that it is the result of one of your trickster magic. If only you put that magic towards something useful to mankind other then silly little tricks. What would you give in compensation for our relinquishing of it?"

Finishing up with his duties he looks at his page and says, "Time for a little rest. Bring me a new corpse to cool my bed. Make her a redhead this time."

AN-DE i have knowledge of two towns in Darkover, and your village in Crown. I will be moving on the village this turn and would expect a taxing on turn three. I will reciprocate and provide the location of another neutral town in Darkover if agreed. Let us bury this axe that our forefathers have struggled to bury.

AN-DU i am in need of total control, we do not have many towns in this region, and i must control yours. Will you tax it on three?

What compensation do you seek crypt keeper?  Just know, it will take some time to clear the smell, maybe T4 to tax? Just advise, I may need for control, but rss of the pop can be transferred?

Yawning and stretching as he descends the ancient cold stone staircase of his ancient stronghold, the Master of Death wakes to another day of the monotony of running a kingdom.

His mind occupied with finding a solution to the rate of flesh decay in warm weather.

He is confident he is on the verge of extending the decay of his zombie army. Indeed, another six weeks before his troops fell apart too much to be useful would make his undead armies much more cost-effective.

His Grandfather and Father had each tried to solve the problem and had failed. But he would succeed, even if he had to turn every living being in Alamaze into zombies to get it right.

As he reached the bottom of the stairs, his faithful page asks him, "Did you sleep well, Master?"

"Yes, Yes, I slept the sleep of the dead, and it was glorious. Have the redhead returned to the laboratory? She has served her purpose."

Eager to do as his master asks, the page hands his master the morning dispatches and runs up the stairs and out of sight.

Looking through the dispatches, he finds a proposal from his neighbor to the west.
Reaching his desk, he takes out his quill and paper and writes this response;
"IL - NE

We would be willing to take a cash gold settlement for that prime real estate for a lump sum purchase price of 10,000 in gold or 15,000 gold paid in three separate payments of 5,000 gold each.

We must insist on real gold and not a wagon full of rocks magically made to look like gold like the last time we did business."

I have a town in your region. If you want it, do you have something to trade for it?

UN - DA

Lord of the dark brethren,

I will allow you to keep the town until turn 4.  You can wait until I take it, or double tax it the last turn to get the most resources.  Unfortunately, leaving a town controlled would put my tight control not as tight as I would prefer.  If I come across your town early, I will leave it be, but come turn 4, I intend to move on it.

If I had a PC in your region maybe we could have made a deal, but unfortunately, I do not.

Lord of all things Unseen.

I will double tax it on turn 4. It is at QI. Maybe you can give me some gold?

Greetings elves  of the dark, your village will soon be found, for our military campaign  to control the region of the Untamed Lands has begun. It is our wish to take control of your village without unnecessary  bloodshed. If you give us the location of your village,  we will give you 2 months to vacate and tax it. If you had something  else to offer, such as a seaport we could  make a different deal, but you are landlocked  as we currently are. Feel free to offer other terms.

Rellgar, Ranger Lord

The village is at WZ. I will double tax it on turn 4 if that is all right. However, I cannot move my figures there to my region unless I can use your city as a waypoint. Maybe you could give me 4,000 gold for it?

I see you have a town in my region. Being a small region I would like to secure as many of the PCs in my region as possible. Would it be ok if you double tax on T4? I would say T5 but it is the same value on T4. Is there compensation you would like?
