You should not have joined it, if you didn't want 48 hour game. It's to late now.

It sounds like some people want 48hrs. I'm fine with that. If we are able to just extend the time limit to accommodate this, then why not? If we have to reset the game I'm ok with that too. It's only T1.
Also, is this a communication game? Are there trade limits? Stuff like that? Let's get all this stuff settled now.

It's not like this needed to be rushed. It took months for the qualifiers. Then with no discussion it's a 24 hour game?

Oh it's a 24 hour game. That's nuts. Why would he do that?

VOTE REQUIRED
It is true I did not poll the players about a 24 hour turn around. I thought with very few games going and no communication, and that most new games have been 24 hours, that we would kind of just keep a steady focus on this Championship and go at it.
However, I can only respect the point that this is an important game, and thinking time and "real life" (intrusive bitch) argue for 48 hours.
Since it is hard to get all players attention, this will be based on who responds by 7pm today, Sunday, to this thread, with a simple majority rule.
Is this ideal? No. Some favorable results will be lost if we restart. I would say, even if you are indifferent, still respond maybe with abstain so we know most players had a say.
So we will count votes at 7pm, and either continue on, or restart, with a new join process with the same selections after the replacement game is created.
Hopefully that is all clear, so vote and check back after 7pm. While you should do your orders to be ready, probably best at least one player does not indicate Ready until after 7pm.
Speaking of which, a second point would be just to know - is there a player or players who deliberately intend to wait until the full time is up, whether 24 or 48 hours before indicating Ready, i.e., ignoring the Ready function? We have seen this in recent games. It is within your rights, it is just out of courtesy to allow players to know there is no need to rush to allow the game to proceed if there is no intention to allow that to happen. I think its ok, just so everyone knows that the cycle will always be the maximum time so don't sweat it for your fellow competitors. So please post that as well, where in that case, just one player who indicates full cycle time most of the time or always, allows the others to not get hopes up of a faster progressing turn, and so not get irritated when it doesn't happen.
OK, so vote and check back at 7pm, or a bit later.

I vote to restart, even though I'm very happy with my setup. 24 hour turns don't leave any room for emergencies occurring.

I am extremely happy with my setup and have only one game going. I hate games going a full 48/72 hours every turn "just because", as indicated by Ry Vor.
Vote = NO but will respect the final tally.
