I overestimated my troop capabilities. I figured I would give a little payback for an unprovoked earlier attack. In the future, realize that wizards are significant force equalizers.
As for the Trolls falling over each other to kill themselves, yeah, that is incredibly painful. I guess I should have gone with level 2 attack.
I will have my army replaced this turn. Unfortnately, I have no wizards left.
Can anyone point me to the nearest wizard college?

I've always said you just can't trust those Ancient Ones.

Well, the problem goes back a few turns. I wanted to talk, but didn't get your (receptive) reply in time, so I HAD to assume you would be hostile. Which just goes to show that more wars are caused by poor communications that you would think.
Yes, you did get a message to me before the turn deadline, but alas, I was tied up with family issues and couldn't check email until it was too late to modify my orders. Sad all around, really.

Looking it over again - yeah, it was the wizards that did it. By the time I withdrew having lost 1 brigade and change, you had lost something like 7000 out of 9500 troops. So that made the assault on the town suicide.
Do you mind if I post the battle here? Some people have requested it.

Ooh, was it Trolls vs. Ancient Ones? Wall of Fire is nasty to Trolls. In game 99 I lost 8 brigades on turn 2.

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Anyone who reads this post should feel completely free to ignore, disregard, scorn, implement, improve, dispute, or otherwise comment upon its content.

Yep. 2xAN brigades vs. 5xTR and 3xOrc brigades. 2 Power-3's casting WoF and a Power-1 casting Valor. I lost 2400 or so, he lost 7000. Then after I withdrew he attacked my town and got wiped. Being the TR, he'll replace every one of those losses this turn using his insane reinforcement schedule. But his losing his 2 Power-1's has to hurt. (The cast a Stun Leader which failed, and a Shield, I think).

Absoulutely, feel free to post anything concerning me. I always figured the first couple of games would require a steep learning curve for me. I am not that slow, but...
In all seriousness, how do you replace fallen wizards?
