Mighty Red Dragon King. We would like to propose that we both seize all hostilities for now. As two mighty warrior kingdom I right now only see us wearing each other down without any of us coming up on top, at least not anytime soon. The other kingdoms are surely following this with satisfaction and already making plans how to exploit this situation. This current path will only lead to the downfall of both our great kingdoms.

So, we propose that we both agree to halting all hostilities (both military and diplomatic), effective immediately (so no attacks this turn), and tax all PCs in each others territory in our possession this turn as well. We both refrain from any hostilities in each others home territory at least during the whole spring season, attacking each other in other regions not counting. We also both release the highest diplomat currently imprisoned, against a symbolic sum of 1 gold.

We are looking forward to your respons asap.
Regent Synisvania of the Rangers

RD-RA: I'm open to a truce, but not back to status quo. I've got the advantage so peace is going to cost you. We roasted your King alive and ate him at the last banquet so I don't have anyone to release- and you only have my fool, kill him. We care not. So here are my terms:

We halt hostilities but I keep 2 villages in your region while taking back the town in mine you have. That's the best deal you're going to get. Or I can take it all. Your choice.

RA - RD
We know that the Red Dragons are a proud race, but fact remains. You might be slightly better off for now, but this turn might be very damaging to you, if you insist on fighting. The Rangers are also known to be a proud people, and we are not going to let down our arms until the last man has fallen, and certainly not letting dragons roam in our home villages.

So, the original offer stands, less the exchange of emmies, but that's as far as it goes. The alternative is fighting ´till the end, and I can assure you that will hurt, a lot, regardless if you emerge as the winner or loser. So, up to you. You still have time to reconsider, but in that case you need to do it fast. Or we are both going down a path that most likely is going to destroy us both. But if that will be, so will be. What say you, mighty dragons?

RD-RA: I don't think you see the big picture. So my response is to burn your kingdom to the ground. My offer is still good but that's as good as it's going to get.

Wise and strong Ranger King,
While traveling home cloaks drawn close over their armor, my captains noticed a neutral village at RC. Perhaps your envoys will sway them to your banner?

IL-HA King
I look forward to months of trade with you, my furry footed friend. Perhaps in late Autumn we can discuss more details once I secure Zanthia. I also request that you allow me to keep my town in your region until then. I will tax it then (turn 4). If you want the location, let me know.

HA - IL  You forget something?
IL-HA I now own no PC in your region, if that's what you think I forgot. You need location of my former town?
As for food, I can trade 35k. What terms? I could do a three turn, deal, if the terms are good!

While we do question your wisdom and sanity, as well as your perception of the greater picture, we do at least appreciate your willingness to negotiate and your honesty.

It is with regret then, that we will instruct our armies, companions and friends to continue waging war. You should inform your elderly dragons to prepare to mourn their offsprings. This will be a dark age for the once wise dragons.

HA - IL  I don't "think" you forgot, the evidence is on my map.  You didn't tax on turn 4, you taxed on turn 5 instead.  Since many people, myself included, plan to gain control of their region on turn 4, the newly neutral PC flips automatically on that turn.  Instead, I had to send an emissary, costing two turns of income from the town, 20,000 gold, more like 30,000 vs if I had just moved to and taken the town by turn 3 like I normally would have.  That's one reason why I generally don't make deals for starting PCs, I take what's in my region, and forget about what I have in other regions.

If you can figure out a deal that will make me feel good about the IL kingdom again, we can trade, otherwise, I'm not in the mood.

My apologies. It was an oversight. Take offense if you want. I thought it was nice of me to offer it up with no resistance in any event.
Best wishes on the trading.

I do not take offense to the oversight, just to the implication that I was wrong about you making a mistake.  Apology accepted, good gaming my friend.

RD- RA: As I said, you apparently didn't see the big picture. There's not much left for you but complete destruction but I'm open to a truce after this turn if you like. Or I can completely wipe you out- you don't have much left anyway.

RD- EL: Why do I see intel on 1EL parked in Triumvia? Do you wish to be our next target? By the way, are you aware the Ranger is holding one of your towns at EC? If you are working with him I'll be forced to destroy you next. Choose wisely.

RD- IL: You undoubtedly see a group of mine in your region, no need to be concerned. We are simply nesting in the mountains there to recruit our cousins to fill our armies. You are not currently on our target list.
