Harder than I was hoping, yes. Harder than I was expecting? Never with you.

The 5th has arrived. Music to my ears. Although I did cringe when I saw a new turn come out the same turn I took my region.

Looks like we may have the same capital effect as we had in the M/A game. I had an emm caught on a known possible WA starting area. It did not effect my turn because I got him back when taking the region but from email with Gnome sounds like he may have run into the UN capital. Not submitting a support issue because no effect on me. But thought I would give a heads up in case some others ran into it.

Are we back to this again? Where towns are set in a few locations that can be the same from game to game?
I did learn one thing from my "mentor".

No, it's not like that. It's just that many kingdoms start on a specific terrain type. So you know the TR starts in the Forest and if there are only two forest towns in Torvale, you know one of them will be the TR capital. The WA and GI start in the mountains and there tend to be 3 mountan towns in Amberland, so not hard to figure out once you have the towns divined.

Yes, I did fall victim to the capitol effect as I needed about 2.6 points to take a town and had an emissary worth over 6 points. Not only did he fail, but the darn guards locked him up. I did submit a support order. And it was a town in a mountain, so likely the former UN capitol. There is something about the UN - even when not in the game, he is always taking my emissaries.
And I am so happy the Dwarf was able to do influence AND the high council AND his region AND I had to replace a dead priestess chick. Does wonders for my influence. But all is good in the world. The Gnomes love to set low expectations - then we can only do better than expected.

So far each of the five members of our intrepid band in the initial Primeval seem to feel they have luck against them.

For me luck has been on my side but I have messed up some orders. Will delay 2nd region to turn 7 most likely.
