Thanks, Rick. For the record, I cannot remember the last time I witnessed a genuine 3:1 attack. The last such claim that I was aware of came from a player who attacked his neighbor and was subsequently attacked by two other players. In my book, those are two sets of wars; a 1:1 and a 2:1. Just because you start a war with someone doesn't mean that you are immune from further attack.

As the Giant, I started a war with the Demon Prince and was then attacked by the Gnome and Underworld. I screamed for help like a little girl and help came running from the East. It was an awesome game even though I ended last. Great fun!

Watch out for those little girls. They will kick your as*.......

The last experienced only game I played in, I forget the number, I was the WI and was assaulted on the same turn by BL + GN + UN. I survived to the very end and finished 8th or 9th, if memory serves me correctly.

I agree with you LD regarding the scenario you paint above.

But I am saying that the focus should not be upon the impression of the player being attacked by multiple opponents. Rather, the focus should be upon each one of us as gamers policing ourselves. You know if you are in an email stream and three or four of you are all plotting against a single opponent. I routinely tell my "allies" I won't participate in such an attack. I will attack somewhere else. If everyone said "I won't do it" the 3 v 1 attacks would disappear.

Until we, as a gaming community, can police ourselves (as I suggest above) I will continue to play anonymous games almost exclusively.

I am merely commenting upon an issue that others have discussed in this thread. When you become Forum Master you can tell me when I can and cannot comment. Until then . . . I really don't give a #$%*.

Of course, you could comment and tell us how often you engage in 3 v 1 attacks. Too damn often as far as I am concerned.

One of the earlier posters had a great point about actions the Game Master could take from changing game mechanics to banning ring leaders. Had the anonymous games not become as popular as they have I would already have stopped playing Alamaze. Maybe you don't care about growing the player base, but Rick does/should!

I think I will keep my soap box a little longer. Thank you very much.

Allow me to rephrase, Mr. Moral Fiber... might I humbly suggest you take your soap box to some place other than a sign up thread? I'm pretty certain that growing the player base isn't helped by your not giving a #$%* on the sign-up threads.

I will happily add my two cents to any issues you have with me on the appropriate discussion thread, when and if such a thing exists and you feel the need to insinuate something.
