(PI) Nope. Yours passed, mine didn’t. So I’m out the gold for proposing and the value of an influence point.

(IL just for you, PI) I disagree. He voted no. You voted no. That seems fair. Not his fault nobody else wanted to back your issue.

Also, stiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiill waiting on this reparations thing you seem to value so highly. Based on your comment before about his vote costing 15k, I'll start my request at 24k for the 3 boats. Let me know when I should put the order in to trade you 1 food for that 24000 gold. It will go to good use.

(PI) Thanks for the input. I’ll just disregard it. The two situations are completely different.

Too many sequins in your ears? Pirates don’t pay reparations for patrol and plunder. So you can put in an order for “reparations”, see what you get back. It’ll be fun for you.

(PI) You won't be getting my vote on anything unless you pay reparations for blocking my influence initiative a few turns ago. You've probably pissed off the BL now too, voting against his.

The council is dangerous.

Speaking of reparations, still waiting to hear from you. XOXO.
if you call a few beers being thrown at you while you passed by in my region for some apparent reason unbenownst to us beneath ethical standards, then yes we did.  i would say releasing critical info regarding pop center info to the entire world is unethical.  new here, but i have yet to see anyone release info in such a way.
if you are jealous of my shrewd behavior, and that you paid more for your seat, then i would respond that your bid was appropriate as well as mine.  why the secret ballot?
(SO)  seems like the elf may be backtracking now that he needs a vote.  i assure the other council members that if i survive the secret ballot, i know who would have voted nay, and i will not forget it.
you will be able to count on my future votes.

(IL extraordinaire, esq.) I apologize. Obviously I'm missing something here. Maybe you can help to elucidate the matter.

You don't pay reparations for sea patrols because "that's what pirates do". Yet you want reparations for a vote. Isn't that what council people do? Vote? Seems pretty similar. Actually, seems exactly the same. The only difference is you tried to go tit-for-tat on the whole voting no thing and it didn't work out for you. So now you're demanding gold based on the argument of "nuh uhhhhhh".

Now, what did I miss? I really want to understand your position and be able to receive it as something other than bluster combined with some pouting.

(PI) Here’s the difference to me. Although I don’t need to explain myself to you, but you’re confused.

The EL knew that what he was going to do would directly harm me. He knew that when he put in the order. He voted AGAINST THE PIRATE, knowing what would happen.

When I ran a sea patrol on the whole sea, I didn’t know if anyone was even running merchant ships. I didn’t specify to attack sequin lovers. I was just doing what the Pirate does. Look it up in any dictionary or type in the word “Pirate” on google. So you having some ships sunk wasn’t actually my plan. Now, I’m fine that it did since I made some gold, and your blustering and whining is amusing but it’s completely different.

Unfortunately, you've only added to my confusion with your balderdash. Next question: If your intent wasn't to sink ships, why were you running a sea patrol, the only result of which would be... wait for it... sinking ships? In other words, you knew that what you were doing would have the direct impact of harming another position. That sounds exaaaaaactly like what you described the EL as doing. Cool!

If it matters, I would have voted against you as well. Mostly for the boat thing, but now also for your completely bogus explanation.

Let's try this: You admit that you ran a sea patrol hoping to hurt someone (and get paid) and then accept that other people are allowed to do the same exact thing (e.g. EL vote), and I'll pretend that you've convinced me that you're right and I have just as much right to ask for compensation as you do, which is zero.

Deal? Oh, I hope so.

Two things:

1) Apparently you don’t know how to use google.
2) I’m betting you stand in front of the mirror and argue against yourself all the time just to hear yourself talk. Or do you email yourself?

How about 50,000 gold? Put in the order and I’ll make sure you get the gold next turn!

PI-NE: Eklar is far away and it might take me another couple turns to get a p4 so I can teleport to get him. I was thinking I could give you the location and you could go get him before someone else finds him in exchange for 2 more successful bounty spells.

Thoughts?
